It’s rained somewhere everyday in the UK, which means mats on the tee boxes and temporary greens at my local. This picture is from my round yesterday.

When is it summer again.

It’s not even the rain that gets you, it’s the constant grey skies, just utterly depressing. Not being able to play proper golf 6 months of the year is a real downer too, genuinely not sure how long I’ll be in this country, need to be somewhere hot and sunny.

I think it’s scheduled for Thursday, August the 4th.

Hey! That’s my local course! I recognise the mud!

After stepping into a massive hidden puddle on the second hole a few weeks ago I’m leaving it for a while, walking around with soaking feet for almost 5 hours was not ideal, feet are still peel city

Anyone played at Castle Point on Canvey Island? Constantly underwater, worth taking wellies instead of golf shoes.

  6. I mean, you can view this as shit, or you can look at the Winter Leagues around the country on the weekend, where 30-40 people are shotgun starting at 9am in 3⁰c weather to get their golf in, __because the course is actually open.__

The course you’re showing here should be shut for the day, that’s a mess, but give me lift and place, mats, removing 5 broken tees from the tee mat hole with a set of pliers and basically just thinking the golf as being about tee to green as frozen fairway temporary greens can sway from birdie gifts to 4 putt monstrosities, still playing, still getting out and seeing the fellas in the clubhouse, not only swinging at the range for 4 months of the year like some places in the world can.

Fuck it, I’m glass half full on this one, OP.
