Use old two ball Odyssey, it's great. Maybe I'll make one more putt a week if i spend $600 on a zero putter. Not likely. I just don't get it.
Played with a guy a few weeks ago he had a LAB , he couldn’t put to save his life .
I keep pulling them.
I agree with Hannah once you grip it the revealer is useless
Feel is more important in putting, find a putter that gives you the best feel and feedback of the putt for you then practice, everything else is just marketing.
I have never had a Zero Zorque putter. I use a Scottie Cameron Newport ll.
Great work, excellent information. If the LAB works for some people then fine, but it is all subjective. What putter do the best putters in the game use? Exactly all different. Find what works for you. Thanks Hannah.

Are ZT putters for everyone, no, but they did help me putt better when I switched. When I first switched I didn't think it was working on the practice putting green, but when I put it to use in actual play, that was when I saw good results after I started making putts and quit missing left constantly.
I have had both the LAB and Taylormade, I prefer non zero torque putters. They aren't going to make anyone putt better
From experience – face balanced are better for short distance, toe hang for long distance. No matter what putter, the most important factor is the ball position.
Cheap Odyssey #7 mallet that works fine for me. DeChambeau uses arm lock putter not just stiff arms.
Sharing the stats about PGA players’ putters was revealing. Good research!
I’ve tried many ZT putters and the only one I personally felt offered meaningful improvements to my stroke was the LAB DF2.1 – that thing putts itself. But ultimately, all these putters are quite easily overrided by the user. Most importantly, I didn’t see any improvements in my putting stats, so they were all sold/returned and I ended up coming back to my trusty old blade.
Zero torque is good for some not all. For me personally I putt my best w face balanced and zero torque.
I feel the same way, did not know about Tigers putting technique, but mine is similar. I have a couple of years old Cleveland S.O.F.T. no4 (the grey unpolished one) with a sticky pistol grip. It is comparably light and for me that is a good thing because I have a very light grip on the putter when I putt. I have a load and fall putting swing, I am letting the club fall with it's own inertia and just follow through with my arms without adding power (like a pendulum). It works well for me. I recently tried a similar designed small toe-hanged Scotty Cameron, and it was soo heavy. I could not use it, where I putted straight into the cup with mine, I missed with a balls width left and right with the Scotty Cameron. It had those big screws underneath. Putter fitting? Yes, it is important! 🙂
I'm sorry but heavier putters are better on fast green and lighter putters are better on slower greens. Always has been. More weight equals better control on a slower stroke. You can't control pace with a light putter on fast greens as easily. Pure physics.

Have tried a couple , great for putts inside 10ft outside of that very little control of distance , maybe just me but !!

ZT isn’t new (SeeMore, Edel, others), although LAB refined it and made it more popular. I was sold on the tech and fitted for 2 different LABs and they just aren’t for me. Personal preference – some people do better w, torque, and I can control distance much better with other types of putters. My take is ZT is a bit of a fad, and while they will remain more popular than they were before LAB, we’ll see a shift back to traditional putters. Glad these companies are continuing to push the envelope though.
Great video – you do such a good job with these. I think any putter that makes you think more about your putting stroke and boosts your confidence will work, and probably has more impact than the physics of any of them. I did get an Odyssey zero torque #7 about a year ago, and like it a lot. I think I made some putting progress with it initially but think I've probably settled back closer to my norm as I've gotten used to it and pay less attention to my technique. Tried both the Oz and the Oz HS and the PXG Hellcat and I felt I couldn’t release the club and struggled to line up. Worth a try but not for everyone
Fascinating video and I wholeheartedly agree with your final comment about a putting lesson.
Years ago a friend won Captain's Day at our club using an old hickory shafted putter with a rusty blade head. He scored 59. To me it's mainly technique though I applaud the technical breakthroughs.
