Dundonald Links in Ayrshire received the Best Course Condition award at the Ladies’ European Tour (LET) 2026 season launch, following its hosting of the 2025 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open.
The award, voted for by both players and LET staff, praised the work of the venue’s greenkeeping team, led by course superintendent Rob Wooddisse.
Rob said: “We are extremely grateful to receive this award, especially as it’s voted for by the players and LET staff themselves.
“It’s a real honour for the entire team.
“The build-up to tournament week involves countless hours of preparation and during the event our staff and volunteers work tirelessly from early morning until late in the day to ensure the course is presented at its very best.”
England’s Lottie Woad won the tournament in her professional debut, edging out a strong field that included world number one Nelly Korda.
A record 11,000 spectators attended the event, the highest in the tournament’s history.
David-Ross Nicol, director of golf at Dundonald Links, said: “Rob and his team set the standard year after year, and this award is a fitting recognition of the care, expertise and sheer hard work that goes into presenting the course at the highest possible level.
“Tournament week demands an enormous amount behind the scenes and the condition of the course this year was nothing short of exceptional.
“We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved.”
Dundonald Links will host the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open again in 2026, marking the eighth time in 12 years and the fifth consecutive year the event has been staged at the venue.
The tournament will be the only LPGA Tour event held in Scotland.
