How tall is Victor Wembanyama, actually? In this video we dig into the wildly inconsistent listings and the eye-test – from prospect measurements to shifting NBA listings (7’5″ → 7’4″ → 7’3″), Boban Marjanović and Brian Windhorst’s 7’7″ quip, and an explainer as to how the NBA actually measures height.

We compare photos, combine notes and media-day claims to sleuth out Wemby’s true height.

  1. Well I never realised this was such a big topic in basketball. Like a couple of inches can't really make that big of difference right??

  2. Wemby is already in the HOF because he will win defensive player awards many times and way better then Rudy Gobert

  3. Maybe he is between 7'4'' and 7'5'', I think they really need to use the metric system and then convert it to the imperial system, I'll give you an example, I'm 1.74 cm tall so I'm between 5'8'' and 5'9'' so one person can say I'm 5'8'' and the next day another person can say I'm 5'9'', but in reality I'm 5'8.5''. Also your skeleton stretches out a little at night, less than 1 cm so if you meassured his height in the afternoon and you do it again the next day but in the morning he's going to be almost 1 cm taller than the day before. In the picture he can be using tall shoes, there's this video of 6ft chinesse guys who have to take of their shoes to enter an atraction and when they do it they went from 5'10'' to 5'7'', the taller of the group almost fell into the ground also he was in reality the shortest of the group.

  4. What I like about this video is how it tells me nothing and does not try to do any interesting analysis to figure out how tall he is

  5. I think Bobans case is scientific. You don't look up to someone who is the same height as you. Lmao
