It’s high tide for cigar giant Scandinavian Tobacco Group as the company has partnered with Entre Humos LLC to open a new Club Macanudo in the Caribbean. Located in the city of Humacao, Puerto Rico, this marks STG’s first location in the Caribbean, bringing the total up to seven Clubs worldwide. It officially opened December 15.

“We are thrilled to introduce Club Macanudo to Puerto Rico, a destination that shares our passion for quality and hospitality,” says Chris Tarr, vice president of marketing global HMC at STG. “This new location embodies the spirit of the island while delivering the elevated experience that defines Club Macanudo worldwide.”

Club Macanudo

The Club is located in the resort community of Palmas del Mar, an area that includes two hotels, two championship golf courses and a marina. Inside, patrons can enjoy a curated cocktail and a cigar from the temperature-controlled wall humidor, which holds a variety of cigar brands from STG’s portfolio: CAO, Cohiba, Alec Bradley and, of course, Macanudo. For those who wish to enjoy the tropical weather, guests can also step outside and smoke on the terrace area with views of the marina.

“Puerto Rico sees a constant flow of travelers who already understand premium cigars,” says Entre Humos LLC’s chief executive officer, Cándido Alfonso. “Club Macanudo Puerto Rico is designed to serve those customers properly—people who expect a serious humidor, knowledgeable service and a setting that respects tradition.”

Club Macanudo Puerto Rico is currently in a “soft opening phase” with a planned program of private events, curated tastings and other experiences throughout 2026.
