The WM Phoenix Open has gone to Sunday, the most relaxed day of the week. After all, most of the fans by now are ready to a) take the day off and stay home or b) sip on a latte instead of cold beer after four days of partying.

As we head to the final round, Hideki Matsuyama leads at 12 under by a shot over four golfers. There’s another four two shots back. Lurking is Scottie Scheffler, who moved from T-28 to T-16 over the course of Moving Day. He shot 4 under Saturday and is 8 under overall.

Follow along right here all day Sunday for the exciting conclusion of the 2026 WM Phoenix Open.

There’s Hideki. After a rough, rough start (where he somehow stayed even through 3 holes), Matsuyama gets his first birdie with a chip-in on the fourth. He and Si Woo Kim are tied at 14 under, but Michael Thorbjornsen has a short look for birdie to tie the leaders at No. 5.

There’s a new leader in the desert. Si Woo Kim birdies the third and moves to 14 under, one ahead of Hideki Matsuyama and Michael Thorbjornsen.

Two birdies in three holes, and Scottie Scheffler has moved to 10 under and three behind the leaders after five holes. Watch out for the World No. 1.

The man in orange is putting together a heckuva Sunday. Rickie Fowler holes out from the sand for his third straight birdie. He moves to 2 under for his round and 7 under overall.

That didn’t take long. Si Woo Kim hits a brilliant putt on the first hole for birdie, and he ties Hideki Matsuyama at 13 under on top of the leaderboard. Big chasing pack, but the leaderboard shifting had already started.

What time does the Super Bowl start?

One of the many traditions is that the WM Phoenix Open’s final round takes place on the same day as the Super Bowl. Typically, the final round ends around 6 p.m. ET and the big game typically kicks off just before 6:30 p.m. ET. That makes for an easy lead-in for sports fans. Even when there’s a golf playoff, things can wrap up before kickoff.
