I got my 440K 2 days ago, played it yesterday then again today, its so so good, i am 110mph club speed. usual shot with Callaway Epic Speed is, either straight rope or high spinny right miss about 20 to 30 yards offline, Yesterdays 1st round, i still had a little fade and realized during fitting i saw trackman screen showing some heel strikes, so 1st round 440k in standard settings and the rear weight in the centre possy. even tho some misses did go highish right, it was only 10 to 15 yards compared to 20 to 30, so, overnight i moved read weight to draw position, so the weight is now more directly behind my heel strikes, today was amazing, it seemed it really worked, my centre strikes had a little draw and some out to 270m, 300 yards roll out. and the heely strikes went dead straight, win win, better having a 5 to 10 yards draw or straight as the stock shots now, instead of straight or high right. totally in love with the 440k feel, colours, the feel of the carbon wrap has a certain sound and feel that the callaway never had. its hard to describe, but total winner and glad i took the plunge and got my 1st new driver ever, but…$$$ not cheap, better last 5 or 6 years.
Question that @11.10 there’s no way that data is accurate into the wind and such wet ground, 245 carry and 276 total whilst rying to get 280 with the 4D. Tested the 440k with various shafts and it is no better than the 430 LST, in fact it’s too draw biased. With these two, 430 Max 10K or QI35 Core with an aftermarket shaft.
I tried the Taylormade QI4d MaxLite and QI4D Max on Friday with Taylormade blue 40 shaft. The ball speed was impressive but the shaft was 2 inches longer than the ladies shaft. I loved the sound and salesman was impressed with the quality of my strikes. I’ll buy the QI4D ladies Max with 4 adjustable weights. But I’ll wait til it warms up outside to purchase
James…thanks for comparing these 2 drivers, would like to see a review of the new Wilson Staff Max+. Also while you mentioned the Ping weight didn’t have much of a range of movement, you didn’t test it to see what degree of impact it had on fades and draws. If you do end up comparing the Ping to the Wilson Staff, could you test that feature as well? The Wilson’s rear weight also can be reversed putting more weight in the draw position. It would be good to know if it’s actually beneficial or just a marketing strategy with the adjustable weights. Thanks again.
Never have liked the turbulators on Ping drivers since they first were introduced years ago. They make the club look even more dated now and probably have no effect on performance.
Unfortunately, the average golfer can’t afford either one of them so it doesn’t matter how forgiving they are if you can’t afford to put it in your bag

Great video! Nice addition with full swing. Be good to see more of your club data on path etc on the good and bad ones

Ido not look at the top of the club I look at the club face to keep it in the right direction . If it does not bother me . I have the 425 max .
Ping is and always has been hideous… Those turbulators are awful and probably pointless ,too.

Hey James how would you compare the 440k to the 440 lst.. I currently game the LST and I’m just curious
I'm a big TaylorMade fan and game the Stealth 2 Plus, but I believe the Ping driver is more forgiving.
Used the QI35 max last year. Today I'll be trying my new QI4D core, excited!
And awesome video sir!

Another great head to head
You got to put up the Wilson. Max plus driver against these two, it just came out.

Turbulators are the ugliest thing on any driver made. The Qi4D is much better looking and I am not even a TM driver fan.
I agree the turbulators look awful. TaylorMade drivers always look clean and appealing
K is a draw bias
Tested both these together both as good as each other but prefer the look of the ping behind the ball
James, would love to see the Ping K vs the 440 Max.
If the numbers are essentially the same – no reason for the Max buyers to be upset.
