Nathan Cook is a finalist for the Participation and Development Coach of the Year Award at the 2026 England Golf Awards.
Nathan has helped grow the game at Dibden Golf Centre and across Hampshire.
He began his PGA training at Dibden in 2012 and is now a senior coach at the club, along with a co‑owner of Aces, an indoor golf studio with sites in Dibden and Alton.
The studio helps make golf more accessible year round.

Nathan was also nationally recognised in 2022, when he was named one of Golf Monthly’s Top 50 Coaches.
His influence extends across the county and internationally.
He mentors 40 young players through Hampshire Golf’s county coaching team, including 11-year-old Henry Atkinson, who he supported at the World Junior Championships in San Diego and Palm Springs – performances that earned attention on BBC South Today.
He also coaches the University of Southampton team and guides 66 online students via Skillest, including a professional competing on the Indian Tour.
Back at Dibden, Nathan’s influence is significant, in just three years, the junior section has grown from zero to more than 100 members.
This growth is partly attributed to the creation of a structured, on‑course progression pathway – from orange tees through seven colour‑coded stages.
A thriving elite squad now supports the most talented young players.
Beyond this, Nathan has advocated inclusivity, by leading a twice‑weekly women’s programme, which has grown from four to 115 participants.
He also sponsors local sport and welcomes children with behavioural challenges to Aces for confidence-building sessions.
The England Golf Awards, sponsored by FootJoy, will be held on Tuesday, March 3.
The event, taking place at Manchester Deansgate, will celebrate the individuals making a significant difference in the sport.
The awards will also have special honours announced on the night, such as the Lifetime Achievement Award, Young Volunteer of the Year and Hall of Fame inductees.
