ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Belmont women’s golf team is picked fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Preseason Poll as announced by the conference office on Friday.
The MVC coaches selected Bradley as this year’s preseason favorite in women’s golf. Bradley received nine of 11 first-place votes and 115 total points to outdistance Murray State (100) and Drake (97) in the poll. Drake and Belmont each received one first-place vote. The Bruins finished fourth in the poll with 90 points. Last year’s champion Illinois State was fifth in the rankings with 85 points.
The 2026 MVC Women’s Championship will be played at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., on Sunday-Monday-Tuesday (April 19-21). Deere Run annually hosts the PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic each July. The winner will represent the Conference in the NCAA Championship.
The women’s golf team wrapped up their fall season last November. They had three top-six finishes, including a team championship at the Braun Intercollegiate. They will begin their spring season on March 2-3 at the Huntsville Intercollegiate in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
