Upper Deck is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its golf trading card brand with a milestone release that looks back to the category’s origins while reinforcing its place in the modern collectibles market. Timed to the launch of 2026 Upper Deck Golf Feb. 18, the anniversary initiative centers on a limited Tiger Woods rookie card buyback program tied directly to the company’s first golf release in 2001.
To commemorate the anniversary, Upper Deck will include 25 Tiger Woods Young Guns rookie cards from 2001, each signed, individually numbered, and stamped with a commemorative 25th anniversary mark. In addition, the set features 25 numbered and stamped versions of the Tiger’s Tales insert set, along with 25 complete versions of the 200-card base set, also marked with the anniversary stamp. All elements are designed as collectibles intended to highlight the long-running relationship between Upper Deck Golf and Woods.
“This year’s Upper Deck Golf is a celebration of 25 years of premium golf products and our long-standing relationship with one of the greatest players to ever pick up a golf club,” shares Paul Zickler, Upper Deck director of sports brands. “Golf is hugely important to us at Upper Deck. With our headquarters in the middle of a major golf hub in Carlsbad, California, we’re inspired and passionate about continuing to innovate and produce premium golf collectibles.”
The anniversary release is part of a broader 2026 Upper Deck Golf lineup that blends established Upper Deck brands with a wide range of professional, amateur, and junior golfers. The product includes Young Guns cards for a new class of players, along with familiar Upper Deck inserts such as Dazzlers and UD Canvas. The set also introduces Retrospective Rookies, featuring golfers who have not previously appeared on a Young Guns card, using designs inspired by their debut years.
2026 Upper Deck Golf will be available at Certified Diamond dealers worldwide and mass retailers. Upper Deck also plans to release additional golf products throughout the year, continuing its ongoing calendar of golf trading card sets as part of the anniversary celebration.
