Same. Also, shout out to the mom. She’s there supporting him getting into it with him. Moms are the best.

One of the few actually living in a moment. All these other idiots can learn from him. Put the damn phones down

old dude in the white golf shirt and dark shorts is mine.
I’m there to watch the golfers, not the golfers through my phone.
Also similar hair lines. lol

Love to see it, it’s clear that he loves the game and it’s such a great gift for him to be there.

Kiddo is stimming for sure. We would be so lucky to feel that kind of joy nowadays.

Would be cool if big events started limiting phone usage when there is already tv coverage paid for. Not sure how that would look logistically, but the sport could see a major shift in maturity and overall footage quality if people were only allowed to take phones out on select tee boxes.
I’m biased of course. Newer to the sport, and my favorite videos are from the 90’s and early 00’s where it genuinely looks like fans went to events to support golf, not add to their phone library or shitty facebook accounts. These same donuts probably record fireworks every fourth of July.

I’m feeling like a real boomer because holy fuck I hate people recording everything they see. They will maybe post it once on Facebook and then never look at those videos. Why can’t we just enjoy the moment anymore?

Even if you like his enthusiasm, calling him any kind of “animal” is inappropriate.

Once I was on a winter hike in the back country around Ouray, Colorado. On a trail along the edge of a broad gorge we hear a loud snap and a whoosh and we all pause. Suddenly a small avalanche is pouring through a gully on the opposite side of the gorge directly across from us. Just flowing like water over the edge of the gully and down into the gorge below. I instinctively reach into my pocket and pull out my phone, swipe the camera on, and start recording. It hit me right there. There are a million videos of avalanches out there but I may never personally witness one ever again so just put the phone away and take it in with my own eyeballs.
Anyways, this video reminded me of that. Except for the Ping kid, he rules.

That gave me a big smile, just pure excitement and love. More of this, please.

Me and my friend were pretty much like that even as guys well into our 30s when we were like 8ft away from Rory
