The first iron I ever hit well and got excited about. If I run across a full vintage set, I’d buy them just on principle.
For context, in my mind I hit that 8 iron 170 and higher than I’d ever seen a ball launch before lol.
90s Pings were a different breed of club.

I game PING Karsten 1 patent pending – 1969. Oldest set I’ve ever seen used but honestly they play pretty nice. I think they look better than these models from the next 30 years too.

I had a zing 2 L wedge that I made more sand shots with in high school and my fist year of college than any wedge since. Wore the grooves out of the thing!

My buddies dad still games these.
He’s scratch and prefers to wear sandals and won’t play a course if walking isn’t allowed.
Cant imagine the money he’s taken from drunk idiots with shiny new sticks who want to “play for a lil money” on the first tee

I use these! My former father in law gave them to me about 20 years ago. I love them!

My dad takes his ping Eye 2’s out for a round every year. They play a tourney called the 70’s 80’s and 90’s weekend. It’s a 3 day thing – In the 70s it’s forged blades (Haigs) persimmon woods and balata balls; in the 80’s it’s his ping eye 2’s (and wooden woods) and wound balls, and the 90’s he plays his big Bertha woods and Titleist DCI 962s (actually they’re mine but he has them at his house) – He uses a zebra putter.

I’m still rocking 845’s

I have some Ping Eye 2’s but looking to move on from them. Traded a guy a Scotty for them last summer.

Actually yeah! My brother got me an iron set as a graduation gift and it’s these! I’m still learning the game but they’re solid!
Your grooves are worn and you’re missing out on 15+ yards but to each their own
I have an 8 iron. When i pull that out shit is getting real.
I played the K1, Eye 2 , BeCu and the Ping Zing in their prime.
