ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. – North Florida men’s golf shined during its final 18 holes to finish out the 36-hole week at the Sea Best Invitational hosted by Jacksonville on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ospreys scored 6-under 278 on Tuesday, which tied Texas A&M and UCF with the second-best team score in the final round among the 14 team field. Filippo Serra was the leader for UNF placing 12th overall with a 1-under 141 score highlighted by his 2-under 69 final round.

ROUND REFLECTIONS


Serra finished the tournament with four birdies to place 12th at 1-under 141 for his sixth-career finish in the top 25 overall.
The redshirt junior led the team in birdies with eight total, which is also top 12 in the field.
He also had the third-best scoring average on par-three holes (2-under) and a top-eight scoring average on par-five holes (3-under).
Jean-Philippe Parr recorded three birdies and an eagle for an even-par round and 1-over 143 combined.
The junior was second among the field for scoring average on par-five holes (4-under) and finished as one of four players to score an eagle in the 36-hole event.
He also finished in the top 25 for the fifth time in his career and for the first time as an Osprey.
Laurens Schulze-Doering put together one of the best rounds of the collegiate career scoring 3-under 68 with six birdies on the day. 
The graduate transfer earned his seventh round in the 60s with a hot start out of the gate in the final round with birdies on three of his first four holes, as well as a pair of birdies over his last four holes.
Luke Balaskiewicz led the team in pars with 25 total, which is also top eight in the field, on his way to 1-under 70 in the final round.
Danny Erickson completed the Ospreys impressive team score outing in the final round carding 1-over 72.
The Ospreys ranked third among the field in par-five scoring average (6-under) and was one of three teams to score at least one eagle during both rounds.
UNF totaled 29 birdies and 103, which both ranks among the top 10 in the field.
