I can’t relate to the frat/sorority lifestyle anymore, but I still enjoy watching the WM Phoenix Open

Not everything around golf needs to be so upity. Lol

I enjoy this environment. Kinda like my Muni. Hehe

Bonus War Pigs 🙂

  1. It is a very fun event! I got to go before period started going only for the social media clout lol. The atmosphere was very fun genuine then!

I always say that Taylor Swift makes music for people who don’t like music. Similarly, the Waste Management Open (and LIV golf) are golf for people who don’t like golf. Or in this case, where golf is kind of secondary to drinking and yelling and partying. And that’s not bad – if people are going to drink and yell and party at other sports events there may as well be a golf event with that atmosphere that draws in a few more fans.

    100% agree.

We are about to be inundated with posts from people with their panties in a bunch about the one tournament every year with a party atmosphere.

My theory is that its the same group of people who complain about fireworks going off on the 4th of July and new year.

The comment section would be a whole lot different if the shades were…but this looks like a good time

I’ll be there tomorrow through Monday. Really looking forward to it.

I went for my bachelor party and have been there for 3 others, always a good time

  7. FreeBristle

It’s going to be great, see you all out there.

I’m going on Friday for a bachelor party. Never been to a PGA event before. Cannot wait!

There is a large grey area between upity ascots and spring break shit show.

I’d like to go once, just to experience it.

But my girlfriend got tickets last year to the Memorial and now we’ve agreed that she and I will go every year. Sunday Memorial was really awesome last year.

Headed to the WM on Sunday to avoid the Saturday mayhem lol

There’s a difference between being uppity and not wanting to encourage alcohol poisoning and stupidity.

  13. I love it, but I hate trying to turn the Ryder Cup into the same atmosphere.

  14. DosDobles53

One of my favorite weekends of the year, what better sporting event to pair with the super bowl

  15. I love the Waste Management

    I love golf etiquette

I also love a good fucking time, bottoms up boys

As trashy as some of this event gets, I hope it stays around. There’s nothing wrong with mindless fun, even if it sometimes leans on the obnoxious side.

Contrast this with the recent Ryder Cup. That seemed more like targeted harassment and unnecessarily hostile. Add in the political stuff with the alcohol, and it was a perfect storm of shit.

Long live the WM. Seems fun to go at least once.

I can honestly say I’ve never been as drunk as the guy bent over backwards like the chick from the exorcist.

But if there’s a first time to do it, I suppose it’s while watching a PGA tour event.

“I saw two big fat naked bikers, in the woods off seventeen having sex. How am I supposed to chip with that going on? You’ve got to kick him off the tour”

  19. Infinite_Respect_

I went to this once – it really was like a massive college party for 4 days. Hard to keep up tbh.

  20. hideous_coffee

I like the idea of a no holds barred shit show if it were quarantined to this one event but it has seen a trend of leaking into other ones.

I hoping to attend next year with my brother and buddies!
