Got invited on a trip to Palm and got times at PGA West right after the tour was here. Stadium this morning and good grief this course has teeth. Makes a guy appreciate the level the tour guys are at. Lightning greens and few flat lies to be had. Major challenge from tee to green. Got my ass kicked but would do it again in a heartbeat. It's so pure you feel bad for walking on it.

Agreed, it’s much harder than the pros make it look lol
Very nice! Did you play on 1/26!?
I will always remember I ended my round by staying out of that trap and hitting that island green. Proud of that.
Went there for the tour event and the first three days they had amateurs playing along with the pros (but playing from regular person tees). Very amusing to see the difference between pros and (still pretty good) regular golfers. Every once in a while someone would blast a drive into someone’s backyard or just completely shank a shot
Pete Dye can be a bit of a cock sucker. Great course though.
Beautiful course – saw some bighorn sheep last time i went at one of those fairways closer to the water channel/mountain
115 I think. And I got a birdie.
The no flat lies thing was my lasting impression of this course. It really keeps you on your toes for all 18 holes.
Man, this is so funny.
I’ve been here. I’ve played here a handful of times.
These photos make it look so different. Like when you’re there, it feels more like “just another course”. But when it’s curated like this I’m like “Oooooh wish I could play there!”
Nice pics!
I put up one of my best rounds here hitting 2i off the tee to avoid the weird ass non-fairway slopes.
I watched Ryan Ruffles play this on yt the other day. Do they dye the fairways and greens? Or is the rough just a different type of grass that goes dormant in the winter?
Either way cool look.
First time I played it I was a 9 handicap, pretty windy day, shot a straight up 124.
