PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – Junior Zi Yu Foong moved into 20th place after the UNLV women’s golf team played its second round Monday at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge being hosted by Ohio State at Palos Verdes Golf Club (Par 71, 6,017 yards). 

REBEL ROUNDUP: Foong (+3) headlined the Rebel scorecard with second-round even-par 71 that helped her climb 16 spots up the individual leaderboard. Behind her in the Scarlet & Gray lineup, sophomore Amber Chen (+8) jumped nine spots into 49th, freshman Lana Yamagata (+10) is tied for 61st and freshman Demi Du improved seven spots into a tie for 66th alongside junior Jane Huang.

 

DAY-TWO LEADERBOARD: UCLA maintained its spot atop the team leaderboard at 2-under through 36 holes. The Bruins’ Jeonghyun Lee took over the individual lead at 4-under for the tournament.

On the team leaderboard, the Rebels head into the final day of competition just three shots outside the top 10 in 12th.

UP NEXT: The tournament wraps up with Tuesday’s final round set for an 8:15 a.m. PT shotgun start.
