TEMECULA, CA — Weddings and large parties are eyed for Temecula’s Redhawk Golf Course.
During its regularly scheduled Feb. 4 meeting, the Temecula Planning Commission will consider adopting a resolution approving such events at the golf facility located at 45100 Redhawk Parkway.
“Many golf courses host weddings and other events,” according to documents from the city of Temecula. “The addition of a wedding/event center will improve the economic viability of the Redhawk Golf Course.”
The idea of hosting events at the golf course dates back to Dec. 21, 2020, when the city approved construction of a 3,200-square-foot outdoor pavilion at the venue. The pavilion is currently used for hosting golf-related events, such as tournaments and awards presentations.
But in 2023, additional applications were submitted to the city for the facility.
“The intent of these applications is to allow the golf course to conduct weddings/events within the existing pavilion,” according to city documents.
The Temecula Planning Commission has discussed the pavilion as recently as Jan. 7, 2026, and it now appears a decision could be rendered this week.

Two publicly noticed outreach meetings were held — Oct. 23, 2024, and Feb. 12, 2025 — and both were well attended by Redhawk residents. Noise and traffic were primary concerns voiced by the community.
“Amplified music, microphones, and large gatherings will disrupt the quiet enjoyment of nearby homes and backyards,” a resident who lives near the golf course shared in a Sept. 30 email to the city. “Large events will increase congestion and may push overflow parking into surrounding neighborhoods.”
To ease concerns, the updated proposal calls for weddings and parties to take place between noon and 9 p.m., no more than three days per week. Maximum occupancy will be 130, with onsite parking for 194 vehicles. All events, regardless of type will be required to comply with the city’s noise ordinance.
City staff has reviewed the project in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. Based on an initial study on behalf of the city, it was determined the project will not have a significant impact on the environment.
The 10 a.m. Feb. 4 Temecula Planning Commission meeting will be held at City Hall, 41000 Main Street. See the full meeting agenda here.
