Here’s another person who will stop watching F1 if they handicap the teams who have a PU advantage. It ceases to have any merit as the pinnacle of motorsport then, you may as well put all the drivers in an Audi A3 if you want to suck up to Audi.
40% of women has already been disproven. The survey used had skewed questions as it was a mostly male person watching and the females where would watch if already on. Woman fans are said to be around 8 to 10%.
I agree, nobody will care if you achieve more overtaking but it's all happening for P10 to P16…

I disagree with the 'mess analysis' of the impact of Abudabi 21. I think it was the best commercial for F1 in about 10 years and let to massive increase of popularity of F1.

Formula 1 is about celebrating the innovation and creativity of some of the top minds of our species. If a breakthrough sets a team miles above the rest then the results should reflect that. Changing rules and penalizing those at the front simply because teams have not done a good enough job is ridiculous and completely against the spirit of what the series is supposed to be about. Then again, the "spirit of the regulations" is a phrase often twisted and misused to serve politic favor but thats a whole other issue. Look what happened to Colin Chapman and the dual chassis Lotus, a perfect example of a car developed within the spirit of what Formula 1 should represent yet was deemed illegal for not being within "the spirit of the regulations".
Quite ironic that actions taken to help drive spectacle and keep attention are quite likely to turn F1 into a product that is of less interest.
If Drive to Survive showed anything it isn't that people only want action and racing rather there is a fascination with the world of Formula 1. Simply give more access and insight into the world surrounding F1 and the product and interest will naturally continue to grow… it doesn't even have to be taken to the extent of falsifying to manipulate narratives like often done in DTS.
