PALM CITY, Fla. – Two Phoenix moved up the individual leaderboard Monday, but the Elon women’s golf team slipped two spots into seventh place after the second round of the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate at Hammock Creek Golf Club.
Elon shot 18-over 306 in round two and will enter Tuesday’s final round at 40-over 616, nine strokes behind third-place UNCG (+31).
Ashley Lafontaine (+7) and Kelly Zhao (+9) remain inside the top 30 individually — tied for 17th and 27th, respectively — after rounds of 76 and 80, but each slid slightly in the standings. Elon’s biggest move came from Lilli Downer, who climbed 41 spots into a tie for 42nd with a team-best 1-over 73 on Monday. Emma Hansen carded a 5-over 77 and is tied with Downer at 13-over for the tournament.
