PALM CITY, Fla. – Junior Alessandra Nagayo and senior Nyah Kelly both jumped 28 spots in a strong Round 2 as Kennesaw State women’s golf moved up to 12th place after the second 18 holes at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate in Florida on Monday.
 
The Owls posted a 13-over par team score of 301 on Day 2 at the Hammock Creek Golf Course – the fifth-best team score in the tournament on the day.

Nagayo and Kelly both carded 2-over par 74’s on the day to move into a congested 55th place, individually, at 14-over for the tournament.
 
Sabrina Kim is also tied in 55th individually at 14-over after a 6-over par 78 on Monday.
 
True freshman Ariana Silva continued to lead the pack with a 3-over par 75 in Round 2. After 36 holes, Silva is in 21st place at 8-over for the week.
 
Competing as an individual, Jackie Jang was once again sharp, turning in a 5-over par 77 to place 27th after 36 holes (9-over).
 
Rounding out KSU’s performances is Natasha Korman, who sits in 96th place (30-over) after shooting 19-over on Monday.
  
Tee Times:
 
Kennesaw State will look to finish strong in Round 3 on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. weather permitting.
