A BOURNEMOUTH golf coach has launched a goalkeeper glove brand raising money for cancer support in memory of a close friend.
Harry Shaw, who founded The Tattooed Golf Coach during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, has announced that he has launched South Coast Kits, a specialist brand supporting goalkeepers across the region.
The venture has recently released a charity range of goalkeeper gloves designed to honour Ben Cull, a talented footballer and close friend of Harry, who died from cancer.
Working alongside Ben’s sister, professional goalkeeper Hermione Cull, Harry helped design the “Believe” Hybrid Flat Goalkeeper Gloves.

The gloves feature cancer awareness ribbons and have been created to celebrate Ben’s legacy while raising funds for Macmillan Local, which supported him during his final days.
Ten per cent of every sale is donated to the charity.
Harry said the idea behind the gloves was to keep Ben’s memory alive within football while supporting players and families affected by cancer.

He said: “We put the idea together of creating charity gloves in memory of him.
“We worked with his family to design them and decided to donate profits to Macmillan Local, where he spent his final time.
“It’s been brilliant seeing the gloves being worn and promoted.
“Goalkeepers are quite a close-knit community and, while we’re raising money for charity, players wearing them are also remembering loved ones they’ve lost.”

South Coast Kits aims to provide high-quality gloves suitable for all levels of football while remaining affordable for young and grassroots players.
Harry said supporting emerging goalkeepers has always been a priority.
Around 50 pairs of the charity gloves have already been sold within the first few weeks of their launch.
He said: “For me, I’ve always quite liked something a little bit different.
“So again, for goalkeeper gloves, I wanted to obviously have something that stood out from the crowd. We use the cancer ribbons here have been used on the gloves.
“It’s something that shows a statement straight away.”
Alongside running South Coast Kits, Shaw is also goalkeeper coach for Poole Town Ladies.
Shaw added that the project brings together “football, remembrance and community support.”
