Terry was a class act too
Texas Terry, the original Ice Man…
Wow, what a rookie class. Always respected Texas Terry. Can’t find anyone that has a bad thing to say about Harry or Terry
One thing Terry Labonte doesn't bring up about Harry Gant was that, when he won the championship in 1984, it was Gant that he had to beat for the championship. Another thing about Gant that Kyle Petty brought up was that, at least in terms of age, Gant was more of the generation of Richard Petty (he's only about 2½ years younger than King Richard), Bobby Allison, Cale Yarborough, David Pearson, and their contemporaries, even though his first season in the Cup Series was 1979, when those other legends were all in their 40s (Gant was 39 during most of his rookie season).
Just another reminder that the best years of nascar have long gone.
