I think the bounce out counts because it's your fault for hitting it too hard
A ball is required to stay in the cup for a hole to be complete. This has come up on the PGA Tour many a time.

The ball must come to rest in the bottom of the cup. Elisha wins.
Brooks, the way I see it, any ball that hits the bottom of the hole bounces/rolls out doesn't add a stroke. I'm calling it a 3.

Very well maintained. I think you should do the 2 ball challenge on this course. Same rules apply. Must use all the obstacles.

According to the actual rules if a ball goes in the hole and bounces out it would count as holed it would be a 3 not a 4 look it up on google
