We're building a new garage with a room above it and we decided to design the entire room around a golf simulator with curved screen and integrated PuttView. We're starting to put together some ideas that we can take to an architect and we're looking for input in case we're missing something.
The space will be roughly 25×25 and will have the simulator, bar, seating area and a full bathroom. Murphy bed and/or pull out couches for when I'm in trouble.
She wants it to feel like an old school country club locker room. There will be one wall that has doors to a deck that will look down on the outdoor putting green we put in a few months ago.
Pics are from her Pinterest board she started.
This is the PuttView

Looks like about a $150k budget. Congrats if you can pull it off.
I’ve done a build similar to this in Scottsdale. Indoor facility with a puttview and SimBooth 4s.
I like the puttview, and they have a good team over there. Same for SimBooth. We’re one of their primary installers in the US and I think that for the price it’s the most solid curved enclosure out there.
I know about golf has their own in-house design team for curved screens as well. Just wish you could choose your own LM instead of being locked into theirs.

Okay
I think the biggest problem you might have with the PuttView is that I’d imagine it would also be your primary hitting surface? Unless the room has enough depth to it, which I think would be a must for a dedicated putting surface.
Are you looking to adopt a 42 year old man? I am tidy, though can not promise I won’t put divots in the golf mat.
I’m very excited to see how this build turns out. From my own build I will say consider acoustics along with the build hitting driver and other clubs indoor creates a lot of high intensity sound. Now when I first built mine I was constantly saying it’s not that big of a deal… but 4 buddies come over and you start teeing off with driver 4 times in a row plus god forbid someone has to reteee a few times and you start going ah shit I shoulda treated this room. So I bought Rockwoll 15ish inch by like 47”ish bats and made acoustic panels to put on the walls to start when I get a few more bucks i’m gunna put like 30 ish more on my ceiling. That’s my only 2 cents! Keep us posted
She ? Old school club locker room ? No females allowed lol.
Just a joke , plans look great. I like the one solid floor, just a square rectangle or 2 for removable replaceable hitting matts. Even the part you will stand on will need to be replaced eventually
Beautiful project in the works. Really like the curved screen especially. Consider some bar stools, I prefer them than getting off a comfortable couch between shots especially if I’m playing a match. Wood paneling. Maybe some wooden lockers to store booze. Planning something similar above a detached garage (one day) and also thinking about an air exchanger if you or your guests may enjoy cigars up there. Card table may be a good addition if that’s your cup of tea. Bathroom is clutch. Some refrigerator/beverage station. Irish coffee always my go to with early sim sessions so maybe a coffee maker
Unless you are tour pros, I really don’t like all that breakable stuff so close to the screen.
From my limited experience with putting greens, they really never hold up like you would hope. This looks cool AF, but I’m wondering if the PuttView will be pretty “meh” in a short amount of time — due to the surface breaking down?
Have you tested, or seen this type of setup in real life?
I have had my sim for years, and long ago I just gave up on putting completely and just use auto-putt when playing GSPro.
