NCAA convo was so interesting as a canadian uni player where usports is just getting off the ground… so jealous of all the support down in the states!
They barely talked about the matches during this video
What the heck is going on with Osaka? She used to be this timid girl uncomfortable in the spotlight. Now she enters the court in that insane outfit, why?? Talk about drawing attention to yourself, not in a good way! I also noticed she's become a screamer after winning a point. That's fine when you hit a winner, but I don't believe it's appropriate after an unforced error from your opponent. Because of this I found myself rooting for the Ružić.
Sweeny qualified, not a wild card, earned every bit of it.
A better program than the US college system is the Italian development program.
Great to see recent/current college players do well…great wins by Basavareddy, Zheng, Jodar, Spizziri
Zheng is going to quit school so he can keep the prize money if he makes a deep run. But if he goes back to school next year it costs $100000 a year. So he's in a very interesting situation
Literally who cares about outfits.
Underdawgs
College really makes sense for most pro prospects. You get to have a billion dollar institution invested in your success. Physio, coach, trainer, good competition, teammates pushing you… Unless you are A) Very wealthy or B) Clearly top 10 talent. Going to school makes the most sense.
I hate Osaka's outfits.
look the question is really from what scope you judge it. at a macro level yes, college tennis is probably the best system overall, as it requires least investment and lowest level of risk. from a micro level, for individuals, in most cases its not the best. of course it always depends on your parents background, where you live etc. The thing is that in college tennis you often cannot focus on improving things if they take a lot of time and might weaken your match level until the things start to click.
Flopseca never fails… to give us some good youtube comments. 😂
I love Producer Mike. Can we clone him for all the single women of the world. He just seems like a lovely guy ❤
Fonseca cleary played whitout being phisically fit. He had back injury that hasn't fully healed
Producer Mike ❤
Fonseca is too much hype but little substance. I feel that he will do much better without such media glazing. He is young ofcourse but his performance so far is hardly inspiring. Many Greats who bloomed even later did relatively better at his age.
Roddick, did u know that Fonseca played injured? Please, respect him.
Click bait
can somebody tell me what the USTA is doing with $15M – $20M a year in honey deuce cash to develop the next generation of young american players? as a dad of a competitive junior living in NYC, they're just mostly telling me i can't coach him myself at the NTC. how will these kids compete, even for college spots, with players coming from countries with well funded federations? help! i'm too dumb to figure it out!
No Nishesh? I thought the match was epic
Getting on tour out of EU, very tough when competing with blue chips…so US coaches (from EU..largely) go to the euro kids and tell them, come play, get a degree.. if you want, and we give you room and board..++.. meanwhile, US juniors coming up the ranks, very tough to get those spots in strong schools..
I can't believe Andy did not see the jellyfish inspired outfit. If you watched the match or highlights you must've seen it. If you have anything tennis in your Twitter feed, you must've seen it.
You are an american hero. It’s time for you to speak up andy. It’s time.
