OK it's simple, it's a one shot penalty if it moves it moves, but if you don't see it move how can they give you a two shot penalty for not putting your ball back when you haven't seen it move it's called common sense but some time common sense is not all that common 🙈
Like football and VAR, it is very bad. Sport is supposed to be able sport, passion and fairness. Cameras try to increase fairness but they are doing so at a massive detriment to sport and passion, and it is very debatable if they even increase fairness, certainly not enough in my book.
As the cameras don’t track all the players to the same degree, it’s not a level playing field to apply a camera judgement to only a few select players, it’s not fair and shouldn’t apply.
Video refereeing is not an official part of the game, therefore it should not interfere with it. Golf is one of the most respectable sports there is when it comes to calling fouls on yourself. It should never have been raised, even when it was, benefit of doubt should have been given to Shane.
I agree the rule is dumb but until its changed its still a rule. Dont take a practice swing so close to your ball in long grass. Id feel worse for Shane but he comes off as sort of a jerk so i have little sympathy. Might be karma
It’s absolutely shocking. The cameras should be banned from staying focused on a ball. A quick look for the viewers is all that’s required. It’s not an fng VAR system FFS🤬
If it was Rory or Tiger or DeChambeau or any other pro that moves the rating needle, and they were close to missing the cut, TV would have ignored it to protect weekend ratings. I'd bet that scenario has happened in the past. No cameras to enforce rules.

Tv analysis shud not be allowed – generally all the pro players are honest
The root of the problem is money.
It wouldn't have made any difference. Sheffler walked it.
Bad bad bad
Bad because TV shouldn’t be allowed to interfere
