Hey everyone, this is my first week swinging some clubs but I can’t stop myself from lunging down towards the balls when I begin my swing down? Any drill and help with that?
Not turning enough on the back swing. Get your belt buckle pointing at the person behind you in the backswing. Then on the downswing keep your R elbow(assuming the video isn’t flipped) close to your R pocket on the swing through and turn your body all the way through.

Alllllll arms in that backswing I would start with some videos from square one

Google what a real golf swing looks like and do it slowly in the mirror. 1,2,3 swing!

The most important tip you need right now is to keep your forearms closer together throughout your swing. You instantly start chicken winging it and you aren’t really feeling a golf swing yet.
This will require you to grip the club differently, and you should definitely study some basics of the grip, because it will dictate a lot about how you learn if you can start with a fundamentally sound grip.
Since I’m bored I’ll give you my basic advice for grip, but you should study more than just these tips, if you ask me.
1. Grip it like you’re holding a ruler. Use your thumbs to press down on the “edge of the ruler”. 2. Put the club deep into the fingers, and interlock firmly. *Not* across the palm, on full shots at least. 3. Press down on your lead thumb with your trail palm. 4. Learn how to detect a “strong” and “weak” grip and strive for neutral until you’ve learned more. This is basically looking down, and counting how many knuckles are visible on each hand.
Good luck mate.

Wow, hard to swing with 0 hip turn in your back swing. There’s a lot of feels etc. that you need to learn about the golf swing. If you can get a lesson or 2 that would be a great start

That’s an impressive hosel rocket!
Your lower body is supposed to move/rotate.
Hips aren’t moving and you’re chopping down on the ball
Too stiff, like others have said, you need to turn your upper body on the backswing and follow through. Your stance is a little wide as well.
