Buvey and Joe Thomlinson join us as the window starts to heat up on the Sky Mobile Transfer Show.

With the Premier League kicking off in a week and Man United and Man City facing off in the Community Shield, we debate the two rivals’ transfer business this summer.

How does Julian Alvarez’s big money move to Atletico Madrid affect Man City’s outlook on the new season? Are Arsenal in a better position to catch them now? Will Man United secure Matthijs de Ligt? And which midfielder should they go for with Martin Zubimendi expressing an interest in joining Liverpool?

We wrap up the show with our Sky Mobile “Switch of the Week,” where the boys pick their favourite transfer from the past week!

  1. United should buy a new LB, Shaw is injured too much, CDM like Ugarte or Højbjerg, new wingers like Chiesa who they can get for cheap. Rashford and Garnacho are not good enough. Sell Rashford. Garnacho good squad player. Garnacho is a player like sterling, hes young so people think he will become much better, but in terms of raw talent he isnt good enough.

  2. De ligt lol … Can't get in Bayern squad ahead of Dier…. Couldn't get into Juve squad…. So maybe you're right he could fit into a championship side 🤦🤣

  3. Man U has been on this so called “rebuild” for the past 10 years. Man U spending is worse than City’s and nobody like to talk about it bc it has to do with the red army of the premiere league. City’s business has been insane, they rarely miss on signings

  4. Berge didn't play for Burnley in the Championship season, the fact they don't know this / suggest he did is laughable – they should just say that they don't know enough about him.

  5. Words about needing number 9 to win pl title is plainly stupid. What did MC do before Haaland? They had number 9, really? Or best Klopp Liverpool had number 9?

  6. Claims "They need a big powerful number 9"
Names Ian Wright (5ft8) and Andy Cole (5ft10)…
Ive just been reminded why i normally "dont recommend" all your videos.

  7. when you look at man utd when at full strength based on what we have right now not including possible in its onana dalot shaw martinez ligt/yoro casemiro mainoo and bruno the mid has not changed much i think garnacho amad and still think hojlund but with yoro you have ligt and hojlund you have zirkzee

  8. i think with city need to try bed some youth in like at man utd with garnacho and mainoo and potentially colyer even having one breakthrough a season is great and amad could be

  9. i think city should be looking at there youth to bring a young gk up and work with ederson or buy a young gk to learn from him either could work thats something i do on fm saves something i wish man utd did with ddg

  10. for man utd fans last season of shaw dalot martinez and varane to shaw dalot martinez and ligt/yoro is that an upgrade or downgrade i would not say its an upgrade or a downgrade cause varane was so important while he was here and i really would of liked man utd to try renegotiate a new contract but whats done is done i just hope martinez learned alot from varane and he could of passed his experience on to the younger players if got his contract renewed or maybe varane wanted to move

  11. People keep saying to sell Casemiro but who can do the job he does in this United squad? They need to sign a back up or someone who can bench him before they even think about replacing him.

  12. Would be interesting to see how Alvarez fits in at Atletico who have a completely different tactical setup to Manchester City and River Plate. Having played under two of the most progressive and possession-oriented managers in Pep and Gallardo, it remains to be seen how he fits in to Simeone's system. But trust Simeone to make him a beast of a finisher like he did with Aguero, Falcao and Diego Costa.

  13. It's really fascinating to hear what is the equivalent of a few young lads at local park have to say about football, like without this insight I am not quite ready for the season … SARCASM for any simple people out there!

Get these boys off Sky Sports and back in their Mums basement doing Youtube videos!

  14. can you please get the actual pundits and journalists back. its absolute tripe spoken by these 'content creators' the purchase of Football Daily has really docked skysports of their credibility, i cannot listen to this absolute load of nothing.

  15. There's an arrogance in that City fans think Pep can play without a recognised striker if Haaland were to be injured. Yes, there will be games where they get by without him but for a prolonged period and against the top teams…… it's going to come back to bite them!

  16. Joe forgetting Burnley was in the Premier League last season, and that the impressive Sander Berge stats and numbers he was talking about actually was in the Premier League, not in the Championship. So he has done it in the PL, even though Joe thought he had them in the Championship. Pretty embarrasing mistakes, to be on Sky Sports, and none of the other two corrected him.

  17. Only the hipsters want Berge. Would be a horrible signing for united. I don't c Liverpool, arsenal, city, Chelsea, Munich or Juve being linked to him. He's a relegation fodder signing.
