A MAJOR hotel group, that has already announced plans for a brand new golf links in Causeway Coast and Glens, is preparing to unveil a second major investment, a councillor has revealed.
The DUP’s Aaron Callan told fellow members Galgorm Group potentially had another golf course project “coming down the track” during a debate around the council’s plans to exploit the legacy of July’s Open Championship.
The hospitality firm already owns Limavady’s Roe Park resort which contains a parkland golf course.
And, in July it unveiled plans to create Northern Ireland’s first new championship links golf course in over 100 years at Bellarena near Magilligan.
The Chronicle understands the firm has been in negotiations with landowners in the Cushendall area.
