Just came here to say I played with Hunter Renfroe on the MS Bandits in the summer of 2009 when we were 17 and within a couple games I knew if I had only ever seen one future MLB player it was him.
Mid-upper 90s off the mound. Stupid power at the plate.

I'm not saying Gwynn couldn't hit home runs but he never played at Petco Park he retired 3 years before it opened. Playing at Qualcomm Stadium it was hard for lefties to hit home runs because of the wall/Score board in right field. So, he would either have to go opposite field or Center field.

Those old c-core bats are underrated; they were the first ever premium bats to hit the shelves. Small sweet spot, but if you square it up then they CRUSH the ball. I think if you didn't pull that last hit it might've gone over the building.
