That's called playing from green to tee. Know your game, and play the course to optimize it. I'm lousy at golf. I'm capable of 340 off the tee, but I know it won't be straight.

I've trid to convince my buddies to play for the 100y wedge into par 5 greens, and they laugh at me, even after I make birdie or par and they struggle to make bogey after hitting their 3wood OB, or duffing it 20yards, etc. It's honestly hilarious to watch.
