Mastering the weight shift is a classic move. Many people today are teaching a more centered pivot swing, but the old timers all had great lateral motion in their swings! Try this step-through drill that Gary Player used to win majors — it’s one of the best ways to feel that powerful move through the ball.
Come train with me at Classic Swing Golf Schools — next sessions are November 8 and December 6–7 in Dallas.

Agree 100%… I was wondering if you have ever felt that getting to the lead side too early in the swing could cause the swing to get too steep or cause the clubhead to cast and come over the top…
Gary Player
Getting to the top of the leader board week after week, year after year, decade after decade. That's the payoff. Everything else are details. And as they say …
Keep 60 to 70% of your weight on your front foot at set up, and stay there!! Easy! No getting to your lead side, you're already there!
I was wondering why I do that walk after a hit everytime I play on the course, on the range I don’t weird
That is a sound I am not familiar with
This isn’t always true though, I understand what he’s saying.. but there are pros who keep their head behind the ball through impact. Tiger, Jack, Vijay, Rory, I could name much more it’ll take too long..
Go ask Gary Player who gave him that drill >>>>TO walk thru<<<<????
Gary payer swing by his core
The walk thru
Ya set up 40 yards right then come over the top and flip the face. This dude is a 10HC.
