  1. There are some events that occur that you forever remember every detail while it's happening. The shuttle Challenger, 911, Kennedy's assassination, etc. Senior's death was one of those moments. When the contact happened, it really didn't look that bad. The announcers were not overly concerned, I have seen him in much, much worse wrecks and walked away without a scratch. That moment when they let everyone know he was gone…

  2. I remember the day that happened and I respect that man for being so strong. and Jr I really appreciate you letting him know that. I appreciate his strength.

  3. This brings tears to my eyes
on any given sunday when there out on the track, there’s always the possibility of fatalities to any driver. As great as engineers have safe proofed theses cars . From one Kenny to another, Your a true gentleman . my respect for you is unmatched to any other. God bless you and i pray he comforts you in your mind of what you saw that day.

  4. This was such a special and beautiful moment that needed to absolutely happen.
So grateful for both of them for sharing this incredible moment with all of us!
    God bless you both!

  5. Man, I loved watching your Dad, Kenny is a GOAT for keeping that memory for us. I watched that race 😢Love you Kenny

  6. Kenny absolutely did not deserve the way the nascar "fans" treated him after the accident. It was short lived but should not have happened at all

  8. Ken Schrader getting out of his car, walking over to Dale's car and seeing him in "that" condition, either dying or already dead is something that that man suffers daily since that horrible day and I can't imagine having to deal with something like that.

  9. I watched that Daytona 500 from start to finish and watching it live, I remember feeling as if it was one of the best finishes in NASCAR history and I was out of breath, got up , started to eat dinner. Then, as I was walking to my bathroom, i passed the TV when ABC Breaking News came on and gave us the news and it was the most shocking thing, I have experienced, second only to 9/11, which happened months later.

  10. That must be so difficult for that great man! He should and will be in the hall of fame one day. I can’t think of one driver that races as much as he does?!?!?

  11. It’s nothing that he should cry over, that’s how they raced back then, and Dale Sr was the king of that kind of racing. No one thinks that the driver is going to die when you put them in the wall, it’s just racing. RIP 3.
