the conditions of this golf course made me sick please shut this course down until you’re able to give golfers a better experience Welcome to The Links at Victoria here in Carson California the internet gave it a 1.9 Stars we’re going to play this course we’re going to show you guys every square inch and we’re going to see is it better than 1.9 or is it potentially worse huge shout out to Bob those sports for inspiring this video honestly for inspiring this entire series of playing the worst rated courses so we’re paying a little homage here we at the links of Victoria this is my Super Bowl this is my Pebble Beach this is my Augusta let’s get after it headed to the Pro Shop to see if we can get nine holes in but the guy working the desk was a little bit skeptical of my request when we get busy which is hopefully pretty soon we won’t be able to do this okay there won’t be any holes that we have so much 18 hole play it busy today or am I good to no no you’re you’re okay today but I’m saying we may say we don’t have any room for n hole play no problem have you played here before no never the conditions out there the fairways are just basically weeds and uh there’s a lot of dirt and gopher holes out so you’ve got a lot of problems out there finding balls okay can see right where it went and you find it down a gole all right here we go heading to the first te the goal today is pretty simple we’re looking at break 38 so two over better that’s what we’re shooting for all right here we go nice looking first t- shot here the T box is actually pretty nice but Airway is looking fun oh my hip like popped on my a little bit right but I think that’s going to be just fine uh first t- shot here as advertised as advertised it seems like most people are here for the driving range driving range actually looks pretty nice this is the first Fairway and I mean what are we doing what are we doing I mean Ma just be careful like look down when you’re walking I know that’s kind of tough with the camera there are literally holes all over the place torn ACL SL broken ankle territory here okay found our ball 193 out I mean it’s just full-blown thick cow pasture grass like there is no they’re not even mowing it cut oh draw a little bit dude I think that’s going to be really good just get it get a look back at the Fairway there greens are looking hot right now greens are looking really nice dude this is a this is a totally different golf course what in the world how do Fairways look like that and greens look like this I’m kind of shook right now this is as soon as you get to The Fringe you just kind of block out the Fairway there dude we’re on a totally different course that’s crazy oh brother let’s go that’s actually pretty hot typically don’t start the rounds off with birdie these are probably the best greens we played on one of these worst rated courses link St Victoria baby one hole down eight more to go it’s far away that was a part five that was a part five that was an eagle that was an unintentional Eagle to start out the round what a reward what a what a feeling that’s never happened before I didn’t even know I was put foral maybe I should do that more often uh we got home number two car 4 400 yards going at that left palm tree there when I say that left palm tree I meant the highway over there on the right I think my ball is in here somewhere just saw a lizard multiple lizards I do not feel like venturing in there so we’re going to drop hitting three from here official drop ah it’s going to be left maybe kick right kick right kick right just a bad so kind of thinned it yeah I think we kicked right we’re on we’re just on the green on the left side left to right here actually not as bad as I thought I thought we were going to be way more left but to save par think I got to hit it more than that but I don’t actually never mind oh man that was a line too plenty of shots to spare after eagling the first hole at the end of the video we’re giving the course a full revieww so it’s going to be based on three categories it’s going to be Hospitality uh conditions of the course and then price and then we’ll average them together and give it a final score so stay tuned to end the video we got a full score coming in number three we got par Force 305 we’re going to Como [Music] 3-wood dude 3-woods money man if you kind of just stand on the back of the tea box or you go to like at T Box level and then there’s a raised green and you all you see is T box and then green not a bad course it’s when you move up a little bit and then you start to see the Fairway is when it gets a little bit ugly but 70 yard we’re going to go six iron not in a bad spot at all here cut in there too much yeah a little too much these greens got me jazzed up man probably going to need to hit it harder than that huh yeah bang still one under how about that huh [Music] hold number four here par 4 I think it’s like 400 yards uh also something to keep in mind the Goodyear blimps permanent residence is just on the other side of this course probably the most I’m going to go ahead and say the most famous blimp if you’re like name a blimp Goodyear blimp 10 times out of [Music] 10 that’s going to do so funny the the guy in the Pro Shop was like I can’t believe we’re open after all this rain after that spring storm I’m surprised we’re even open like people are going to tear up the Fairway with the golf car like it’s not there’s nothing to tear up oh thin the heck out of it brother where the camera’s at right now like if you just hit that angle you see some palm trees in the background you got the green here the tea box of the the next tea over there looks like a pretty nice golf course snag a little pan to your right there mags that’s where it gets you that $48 price tag still kind of living in my head rentree probably could have given a little bit more maybe not come on to stay one under ah boogy there got to chill out on the uh bogey train here big on the chain link fence here at The Links at Victoria maybe that’s what they’re talking about when they say the links we got pars three carser 138 yards I got nine iron in hand come back left come on left ah it’s kind of hunging out right uphill putt little left to or right to left there I [Music] think yeah go ahead and go in go ahead and go in oh talk to me [Music] brother Hospitality has been top-notch the like course director came over to me right before t shook my hand said hey I’m Jose course director uh if you need anything today let me know they know they got to make up for the Fairway somehow and seems like Hospitality might be that thing hole number six par five I think it’s like 560 so a little bit of a dip here we’re back to even oh chill out hang out we got her we’re in not the best stuff over here I’ve got a four iron I don’t know if that’s necessarily the play real quick while I was editing this video we hit 100,000 subscribers thank you guys so much appreciate you figured out why there’s no grass in the fairways this place was a toxic Landfill closed in the ‘ 50s no regulation for dumping besides methane gas throughout the course lead and Arsenic and soils maintenance isn’t allowed to dig in the soil below 6 in the hazards material team has to be contracted uh don’t eat the soil I would say numeros seven here 429 y Par Four dude what in the wait we’re in the wrong hole I’m on the wrong hole this is the back nine okay we’re on the wrong hole where do we where do we go for okay perfect appreciate it my defense there wasn’t really any signage that was letting me know where to go I am so confused right now okay so wrong hole made a little bit of a wrong turn ah okay I think we got it here let’s try this again hole number seven par 442 9 yard um it’s going to be right again we got 172 go eight iron floating right on me stay out of the bunker love to see that cuz that is just straight dirt yeah how about that little speed how about that speed eat Sky there huh make a putt let’s save par hey the right hole the right score baby I don’t know what the rolling is on that one I’m I’m going to go ahead and say that I probably would be dced if I play a golf hole out of order like if I tea off on the next hole we make our own rolles here at the links of Victoria we got Le parser car three here 190 ah chill might have to pay a little busy time though the chip Meister Dr Chip talk to me Dr Chip talk to me yeah that’ll help us save a little parsky there that was a full full horses just blasted [Music] okay last hole here straight away part four okay A little peeler there I don’t know how far out we are but we’re going to close her out [Music] here I think that should be okay probably got to hit a little bit harder bang the L set Victoria did not disappoint what a what a place surprised me around every single corner it’s Review Time first thing up is hospitality uh when we went in the guy in the Pro Shop was super helpful uh gave us a pretty accurate description of what the course was going to look like which I thought was pretty helpful before we started our round manager came up to us and said hey if you need anything let me know shook my hand I thought that was very nice I don’t get that honestly a lot at like public courses so we’re going to go 4.5 stars on Hospitality next up we got the course conditions we all know Fairway is probably the worst Fairways we’ve seen But the tea boxes and greens were like you’re literally transporting to a to toally different course because the T boxes and greens were so nice we’re going to go 3.1 stars on conditions finally we got price so it was $48 for nine holes which I’m not 100% sure on this but I think that means 18 holes would have been $96 which seems a little bit outrageous for a course like this that’s under repair um and then like a pretty bad part of La so for the price we’re going to go 1.1 Stars so if we average those three scores together that gives us 2.9 star which is obviously better than 1.9 Stars uh which is what the internet gave it so and I would say that’s pretty accurate I think it was definitely better than expected better than you know
