PEBBLE BEACH HIDDEN GEM | SPANISH BAY | Back 9 Vlog

All right, welcome back to the channel. Out here for the back nine at Spanish Bay. I'm out here playing in a firefighter golf tournament. Going to be at Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach. So, I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully you find this video and those videos showcasing my round of golf to help spread the mission for uh mental health for first responders. And the firefighter tournament I'm playing in is the Southern California Firefighters Golf Association. So, thanks to Mark and his crew with that organization for inviting me to come out and play. Uh just taking in this experience out here at Monterey Peninsula and this course and then obviously the other two that I'm going to showcase as well. So anyway, thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed. If you found the front nine, hope you're going to enjoy this back nine. So all right, thanks for the support. Love y'all. >> Thank you. >> All right, got about 212 to the middle of the green. We're out here to have fun, right? So, let's go for it. Got a hybrid. That's not a bad miss up there. Good angle in Eek. So, if you go back, if you haven't watched the front nine out here at Spanish on number nine, that green was wicked. Had a fall off and I knew I had to chip this ball up. So this one I didn't know how far left we can miss it to go at that pin more. So that's the beauty and the the frustrating part of not playing a course. You don't know where your misses can be. I know the one to the right is pretty good just from the videos I've watched. But yeah, anyway, it's in a good spot. See if I can get up and down. All right, folks. This green's kind of wicked, too. It's got a elephant buried right in the middle here where I'm pointing the camera. So, I'm gonna have to trickle it off that down to the hole with my pitch shot here. All right, here's my shot. Going to play this right and let her trickle down. Like I said, OH, COME ON. GET DOWN THAT. AT LEAST THAT. Go down that. Man, I thought it would release more out of the rough. I He showed me it wasn't >> now. Yours is harder than his. >> I agree. Mine's like >> Yeah, yours is not fun. >> A gradual downhill break. >> Well, I'll try to get it close in the bottom of the cup. >> Come on. Get there. That's a great >> Got there better than I thought. >> All right, folks. This one's called Top Hat Dog Leg. Right. Green is over that way beyond those trees. I like your >> Oh man, look at that. >> Yeah, I need to be further right. >> All right, I got 76 to this pin. And this has false side and fronts. I remember driving by coming to the course, so I definitely got to get it up there. Oh, it didn't get up there. That's a wicked green. Well, the good thing is I got an uphill putt. Bad thing is I I got to gauge it. So, anyway, fun fun time out here. >> All right, folks. This green, you can't tell it not going to do it justice. list the shadowing here does it. But up here's flat, but right here craziness. All right, let's see if I can get this up the hill. Felt like miniature golf there for a second, doesn't it, on this hole? Well, let's see if I can get kissed by that pig here. >> Bang. >> Nice. >> Nice one. >> Thank you. All right. Not sure I can call that first putt, even I was on the green, a birdie putt up that severe slope. Uh, but I was able to make the par. So, good start here on the back nine at Spanish Bay. Keep drawing. >> It's drawing. >> Now I need a ground draw. >> You be okay. >> Yep. >> Okay. >> Hit soft. >> Yeah. There you go. >> Thank you. All right. There's the look from the right rough here. It's going to be about 150. I'll laser and let you know. All right, folks. It's 153. I'm going to try to muscle this nine iron. I don't know in this sea level, but nope. It's got to go. I think it's got to go. Yeah, I didn't catch it. Pretty hole there. Look, looking at it. Kayla put one close from the weeds over there and then uh I came up short. I need to start clubbing up a little more. What'd you hit? >> I mean, cuz look at that thing. Stopped almost immediately. >> I mean, it sounded like you pured it and that obviously you did. Very nice. Well, >> thank you. >> I'm going to try a tap. All right, folks. Fun little part three and then we head back to the ocean holes to close out the course. Beautiful. All righty. 87 into the wind. I don't know if I should use a 54 or this 58. I can carry this about 95, but is a little better. >> Yeah, with the wind the way it is and then playing at sea level. >> Yeah, I got the 54. >> Ah, I left it right. >> That'll be fun. Ah, I just didn't trust it. >> All right, bonehead mistake by me not trusting what I had talked through with Todd there. He had a good shot in and his wife Ally just over. But anyway, I'm down this slope and it's in the thicker grass. So, we'll see if I can one even get it up on the green, but two, stop it here. All right, here I go on my adventure at Spanish Bay. Fun fun if I don't tear my Achilles. See what I can do with this one. This is going to be scary. Stay up there. Yeah, I tried to scoop it more than I should have. This could be an ugly hole. Ugly score. All righty. Short little hole got me. But this is a beautiful par five coming up. Going to show you here. >> Getting the uh >> Look at that beautamus. And you had a 50-50 3-wood that you hit to two to what? Three, four feet. >> That's all right. >> Oh, man. >> MC man. Look at that. Gorgeous. All right, we all thought mine was going to be in good shape, but I'm down here on this slope. Probably shouldn't hit this hybrid. That's the famous words, right? But why not? >> It might be in that right bunker. >> It is. Okay. All right, folks. I'm probably going to be about I don't know 25 30 yards from the green or pin. So, probably going to have to land it in here. Oh, just that feet off there. >> Just need any more left >> shot, Caleb. Man, I didn't think I needed that far left, but I didn't watch alley's come up enough or pay attention enough. It It kept feeding. >> You were standing right here. >> Well, I didn't I didn't compute it. >> Oh, like me. That's what I do. >> I can relate. >> Two and two was five on that one. I get the >> I like I like the putter's eye view here. >> Oh, yeah. Tapity tap. I was being greedy >> after that. All right, folks. Hope you're enjoying this content so far. Yeah, as as the round goes on and I'm carrying my golf clubs and the camera equipment and moving it around, it kind of kind of wears on me. I'm enjoying the experience though, so I'm not upset about the score today. Uh, but anyway, yeah, enjoying the company with the people we're playing with and trying to spread the mission of using the game of golf to bring awareness to mental health for first responders. I could go on and on and explain how that is, but go back and watch some of the other videos and the therapists I've had on the channel and explains a lot, but it's just about trying to tell my story and and uh just say to my first responder brothers and sisters that just be self-aware that something's changing inside you because it's true. It's real. All right, love you all. I'm going to grind the rest of the way on this round and just enjoy the experience. Look at the ocean. Oh, I was over the ball saying, "Why are you even using this club?" But that one might be all right over there. >> Yeah, >> it was hit so bad. All right, I hit it so bad that I'm I'm okayish. All right, I'll get you a yardage. All right, I got 170. I'm going to go with a sixiron. I'm going to learn my lesson here. Got to take one more club. Well, going to be back left of the green, I think. Couldn't see it down. All right, I'm starting to adjust this uh sixiron from 170, even though it was kind of out of the sandy lie. I got it to pin high. I'll show you here in a second. I just wanted you also see that view behind us, man. You can't beat Spanish Bay. As tough as it is, it's still uh a treat to be out here playing next to the ocean like this. Remarkable. >> Earthquake. Small one. 1.2. two. >> Nope. Earthquake wouldn't help that one. I like hearing that sound though. Got one 55 56. >> Put my face and say hi. >> Yeah, just say hi people. There it is. >> I don't know if I caught enough. Nope. >> What did you hit? >> Uh, I hit a little towy eight iron. I didn't. >> Oh my god, >> that is obnoxious. >> Let's make one. >> I can't believe that, man. I know. Especially after you said, >> I was like, what the hell? >> I want to hear this. Make that funny. I mean, the most beautiful noise ever going in the cup. >> Yes, sir. >> Like that. >> Never a doubt. >> Right. >> Right. You the positivity. Just going to for iron it out there. All right. I just remember you saying I thought I was going to creep further left. >> All right. >> Okay. All righty. 161 it's saying. And in this slope coming up where my ball settled down. Shoot. thinking seven iron, but could be six with this wind. I'm just going to go with the seven. Try to get it to the front area. I took up some sod on that one. Look at that view behind us here. Can't beat that. All right, semi-chunking run seven iron to here. Got a lot of slope left to right. So, try to get it within a makeable length. If that sprinkler head wasn't in the way, I'd probably putt it. All right. Uphill 5footer, maybe sixfooter. Not bad. >> This one's got some break. >> See what it is? >> Yeah. Yeah, it's it's moving. >> There you go. Thank you. >> Like and subscribe. >> Like and subscribe like Isaiah said. >> That's all right if it goes in that bunker. I don't mind fairway bunkers. All right, I'm going to try to get Yep. I have to go pitching wedge and get it as far as I can down there. I got a lot of footprints in here. All right, folks. About 160 out. >> Kansas City, here I come. >> Say again. >> All right. >> Seven. >> I'm gonna go with the seven. >> You're a smart man. >> A little choke, but not much. >> Chunky tuna. That's not getting there. >> No. I think seven was >> I feel bad that I can't fill these divots. >> I know, but I feel bad that I can't. All right, folks. Yeah, that was pretty poor shot. I'm down there in a little hazard area. And uh it's going to be a tough one to throw it up and over that bunker to even get myself a chance for the par. But I'll grind and try. But I don't think I'm uh just looking at it now, I don't think I'll have a chance cuz that's some thick stuff down there. Wonderful experience here at Spanish Bay. >> All right, we couldn't find my yellow vice. It's in here somewhere. We're not going to waste time looking. >> All right, I hit a good one out of that. Even though it wasn't my yellow vice, it was going to be in a similar area. It is what it is. Just showcasing the course, not tournament score today. So, just having fun out here with new company and got to hear the sound. I don't care about the the video. I got to hear that. All right. Hit a good one, Todd. All right, folks. Thanks for uh watching the video. Spanish Bay back nine. Had a few good holes, couple bad holes, but this was about the experience for me today. Tomorrow when I'm filming at Spy Glass in Pebble Beach, I'll take my time more. I'll have a caddy helping me with carrying the club. So, it's just not as much of a daunting task to film. And then trying to keep it out of the way of of the people you're playing with. And they were wonderful, by the way. So, it is what it is. You know, it's mainly about showcasing the course and how, you know, this experience I feel blessed right now. Yeah, love it. I'm going to show you the ocean one last time and then we'll call it good.
