Let's break down Scotty Sheffller's workout program and what I would do differently from an 8-year fitness prow. Starting off, this looks like his main compound lift, a barbell reverse lunge. I don't love this exercise because the demand on balance. I think if you're trying to train strength, doing something with a little more stability and less loading of the spine [music] would be a little more beneficial here. I like something like a half field split squat or just loading up some heavy dumbbells and kettle bells. Next move, barbell bent over row. Okay, not really a fan because of the demands [music] it places on the spine, especially the lower back. I see the translation into golf. But again, if the goal is upper back strength, there's a ton more exercises you can do to preserve the back and even load it heavier for a better stimulus. These next few are stability based exercises. I totally understand the application to the sport of golf. However, I'd like to think there was some upper body strength work going on. I believe that training the core is an important part of the game, but as well as athletes, they're [music] humans and training every muscle group is going to help them with their overall function and performance. I'm not trying to bash this workout at all. There's just some things I might add in or program differently. regular golfer, this program wouldn't benefit you much.

All wrong, the whole point of the first lift is to train stability and balance. Make sure before you give the rating you know what the athlete is trying to accomplish
