Hilton Head & Beaufort Golf: Top 6 Most Affordable 🍻⛳ Birdies, Beers & BEST Golf Deals Hilton Head💰

All [Music] right, guys. Welcome back to the channel. We’re over here at Chronic Golf in Hilton Head, the home of the Low Country Golf Hall of Fame. I’m here with the director, Bob Coller, and our new member of the BBB Golf Team. Bob, we got a great episode right here. Top six most affordable golf courses in Hilton Head. What do you think, man? Hey, I’m glad I’m here. Anything that can showcase the courses and our community in the Low Country, Benzy, I’m here anytime you need me. Hey, we’re going to give you the top six courses next time you come to Hilton Head and Buford that are going to give you the most bang for your buck. Bob, number six. We’re going to start off at number six, Hilton Head National. Tell us a little bit about Hilton Head National. Hilton Head National really has uh it’s always been understood that their greens are in great shape. Uh from what I understand there’s a vein of clay runs through there which enables their greens to hold the content water and so forth which is why it’s always in great shape and the layout is fantastic as well. Well, I like the greens out of Hilton Head National. We just shot shot the Bob Walton episode over there. The greens were rolling way over 10 over there. That was a great episode. So check that one out. So that’s number six. Tell us about the green fees over at Hilton Head National. you know, our criteria is conditions. Um, really number one is accessibility and then affordability. So, tell us about the green fees and then obviously all these courses in the top six, you can play, everybody can play. So, what are green fees like over there, Bob? Yeah, at any time. And it is tough when you come down to Hilton Head Island. Uh, we have so many great courses, but unfortunately or fortunately, many of them are private and you can’t get on them. So, what Benji and I have tried to do today is get you on some courses that are great architecture, great design, accessibility, and a reasonable price. This day and age, uh, some of the numbers these places are getting are outrageous. So, uh, we’re trying to make it affordable and still get you on a good course. The rates at Hilton Head National, now you have to understand is from sun up till noon is a rate. noon to one is a rate and after two is a rate. Your average out there is going to be about $150. Uh it’s that’s a pretty good rate for the course. Uh it’s a Reese Jones design. Uh again, in great shape. So, and remember, the greens are always rolling good over at Hilton Head National. What we’re trying to do, like Bob said, is we’re giving you the best experience, bang for your buck. And when you come to Hilton Head, if you’re lucky enough, uh, privileged enough to play the private courses, that’s great. These are the top six. So, number six, Hilton Head National. That’s a good one. Greens are good over there. And then number five, what do we have for number five, Bob? Number five is the uh, Old South. And that was designed by our own uh, architect who’s in our Hall of Fame, Clyde Clyde Johnston. And the layout is phenomenal. be very honest with you. Uh you can’t beat the rates about $125. Uh Clyde Johnson design and the layout is fantastic. I will tell you this. Uh the greens are typically rolling uh about eight or nine. Always in good shape, but you’re not going to get the speed, especially you guys from up north and out west. You’re on the bent grass. You’re not going to get that here. And uh but bang for the buck and a layout. Uh Old South is great. Here’s what’s great about Old South. Great golf experience. Uh affordable. Jimmy, we know the pro, the entire staff out there going to have a great time. The layout, like Bob was talking about, there’s hardly any homes on the course over there. And Hilton Head National is the same way as well. So you’re rolling through the timber. Uh we do have some marshfront homes or marshfront sightes and river river views on Old South over there. So, there’s some pretty good golf holes over there. That’s one of my favorites over here on Hilton Head from from a public golf standpoint. That’s coming in at number five. So, great course. Check out Old South. That’s a popular destination. Number four, Bob, what’s coming in at number four? Uh, I’m going to say Fazio uh Design Course in Palmetto Dunes. Oh, yeah. Uh, they keep that in very good shape. The greens are always rolling pretty well. The accessibility is great for anybody coming down. Uh you can get on at any time. Uh certainly a few days advanced notice, but uh and the rates there are going to vary from 125 to uh a $200 bill. Depends on what time of day and what time of year, but a good experience, one that you’d enjoy. The layout is great. Uh I do want to mention this too in the Fazio course. It’s for all caliber of golf. those T’s on the Fazio course, you can experience almost two different courses from championship to one up and two up. So, pick your uh it’s a good course that you can pick your own uh level of play. And here’s the great thing about that course right there, which is a little different than Old South and Hilton Head National. It’s on the ocean or right next to the ocean, so you’re going to have a lot of wind. Um you’re going to have to play a lot of different shots out there. So that course is ranking pretty high on our list in the top six. So now coming in at number three in the top six in Bufort and Hilton Head affordability is what course Bob? I’m going to keep you in Palmetto Dunes at the Arthur Hills course because again, uh, good conditioning, accessibility is great, same kind of rates, 125 to 200, depends on time of year, time of day, but, uh, again, great bang for the buck, very accessible. Uh, you’ll be you’ll be thrilled with the condition, and it’s a course you can get on and play, and there’s lots of amenities right there in Palmeta Dunes. You’re close to everything as well. So that’s our 6543. Bob, we got great news. We got a tie for first place. Tie for first place for your affordability. And that comes down to two courses. Bob, tell us what the two are. I’ll tell you. It’s Bear Creek here on Hilton Head Island and Paris Island. Yes. The marine depot over in Buford. The Legends. The Legends Golf Course. And both are really great courses, great layouts, uh great designs, and the prices are very reasonable. Uh you’ll get them just like you do your public courses wherever you’re from. And uh the accessibility is there for you. I highly recommend uh Bear Creek and Paris Island. And you would really enjoy Paris Island just being on that base and seeing what’s going on with the Marines. But the course itself is fantastic. So guys, we had a tie for first place. The reason that Bear Creek and Paris Island came in at number one, conditions and affordability. The greens at Bear Creek, the greens at Paris Island are consistently rolling over 10 and 10 and a half. Conditions are very good. Um, Paris Island, there no homes on the course as a Marine Corps recruit depot. You are going to have some challenges getting through the gate. So scan the birdie chatbot below. We’re going to have all the links in the description there to all of the courses, but we’re also going to have some guidelines for you on how to get into the gate, what you need to have in order to play the golf course out there. Can’t just show up at the Legends at Paris Island and try to get through the military gates there. So, we do have arm guards at Paris Island there, and there is a procedure you have to go through to get out there. But, um, bang for the buck, top six in the Low Country. Uh, we’ve got Bear Creek and the Legends at Paris Island coming in at a tie for first place. Right. All six uh are are well worth uh the money uh conditionwise accessibility, everything we’ve shared with you. So, hope that helps you. Uh and anything uh you may need to know uh just give us a ring. Uh help you any way we can. Hey guys, that’s our top six of affordable golf courses on your next trip to Beert and Hilton Head Island. Subscribe to the channel Birdies Beers and Bros.
