You know what time of year it is. It is officially transportal season and it’s safe to say Nebraska’s roster will look completely different in just the span of a couple months. So, in today’s video, it’s finally time to reveal my official transfer portal prediction. We’re going to look over this entire roster, which Huskers stay with the program, which Huskers leave and enter the portal, where do we go from here? How do we make this team better going into a crucial year for Matt Rule? And everything else you need to know. So, really quick, this is a big time prediction video. This is the only channel on Nebraska YouTube that posts daily talking Huskers, talking transfer portal, talking coaching carousel, talking recruiting. But without further ado, we have a lot to talk about. It is officially transportal season and you know what that means. The Huskers roster will be flipped on its head. Not only are we going to gain a lot of players, likely over 20 on offense, defense, and special teams. We’re going to be very aggressive. Not only does the portal giveth, the portal taketh away. That’s the sport nowadays. No matter how good your culture is, no matter how good you are on the football field, no matter how good your coaches, you will lose players, not only players who really haven’t played snaps for you, but Nebraska will likely lose multiple big-time names who have started for this team in the past, who are going to go to greener pasturers in the SEC, in the Big 10, who are being subject to tampering right now. So, in today’s video, I’m going to make my predictions. These are just my predictions. Will all these happen? Probably not. But right now, with everything that I’ve heard, with everything I’m expecting, these are the players I think will stay with Nebraska. These are players I think will leave. And we’ll talk about where we go from here. Let’s go position by position. We’re going to start off with quarterback, running back, the entire offense, defense, and so on. Let’s start off with the quarterback position. Who leaves? Now, we know that we lose Jaylen Grahamstead, and Luke Longville to graduation. They will not be a part of this team next year. And right now, there’s been a lot of rumors around three quarterbacks in particular. Dylan Riyola, Marcus Dilla, and TJ Latif. None of our quarterbacks are safe. And as of right now, I project that Nebraska will lose one of those quarterbacks to the transportal, and that of course is Dylan Riya. Now, I’m recording this before any announcement has been made. We know that last week it was leaked to the media to CBS that Dylan Riya is expected to pursue the transportal that he’s at least going to think about it. That was leaked by a member of the Riyola camp. So, right now, with the way it’s looking, with of course his family not being very happy with the university, with all the question marks around our offensive line as well, I do expect Dylan Rya to enter the transit portal more likely than not. I mean, there is a very, very slim chance he comes back. You never want to completely slam the door on this, but um out of all these quarterbacks, I do believe Dylan Rial with the way it’s trending with with again what’s been going on with his family, he’s going to likely go to greener pasturers. We also know that he’s being tampered with as we speak. He’s being tampered with by some big time programs. Um so, I do expect the Riyola marriage unfortunately to come to an end. Again, is that official? Is that 100%? Not guaranteeing anything, but of all these guys, Dylan Ri is the one I will project to not be with Nebraska next year. Now, as for the rest of the quarterback room, TJ Latif will be safe in that instance. And also, Marcus Dila, there’s been a lot of question marks around him returning. I expected him to be kind of a one and done, assuming Dylan was returning, but now that Dylan’s not coming back, more likely than not, I do expect Marcus Dila to return because there’s going to be a real query battle with him and TJ Latif in the spring. We might also bring in a quarterback transfer to compete with those guys. So, I do expect Marcus Dila to stay with Nebraska along with TJ. and we will only lose one quarterback to the Portal. That unfortunately being our starter, Dylan Riola. Now, let’s get to the running back position. We know that we’re likely going to lose Emtt Johnson to the NFL, so he doesn’t really count, but again, he’s not going to be here next year. I expect Vince Jennon to stay, Kenneth Williams to stay, Mai Nelson, more likely not he will stay. Jamar Parker stay, Connor Boo stay, Isaiah Mosy stay. The only running back where I look at and I say, you know what, I don’t think he’s going to be here next year is Quinn Knives. And I have my questions about Quinn Knives coming back last year because I just didn’t see a world where he was going to get on the field and he didn’t get on the field this year. He was our fourth string running back. He barely play on special teams. He’s going into his fourth year. And again, he’s just not going to play next year either. So with Quinn Ives, he has to make a big decision and I I expect him to return home, go back to the East Coast, probably to a lower level program, maybe like a Yukon, like maybe like the UMass, a Syracuse even. Um potentially get some more playing time elsewhere. But at this point in time, I do not expect Coin Ives to return Nebraska next season. Then onto the wide receiver position. This is a position where I’m going to make some bold claims. I’m going to make some bold predictions. Again, these are all predictions. Um, but again, this is a room that I expect to look completely different next season because Dylan Ry with him likely leaving, there are some guys who only came to Nebraska at the wide receiver spot to be with Dylan and they were Dylan’s best friend. And now with Dylan not being here, their future is also in doubt. So, let’s talk about it. I do expect Jiner Bonner to return. That’s the one that I’ve been looking at a little bit over these past couple weeks given the fact that I mean Gyron’s barely play has got injured but Jiren’s a team guy. He’s somebody who really cares about this university, really cares about this culture. I don’t think he’ll leave. I do think Jakory Barney will be back. I do think Demetrius Bell will be back. The three I expect three receivers to transfer. Kelan Smith is somebody who’s one of Dylan Ra’s best friends. He really has barely played for Nebraska. I don’t think that’s too big of a shocker. Na Hunter is somebody who at this point in time is going to be very hard for Nebraska to retain. We’ll see how much they pay him, but I know for a fact he’s going to be tampered with, right? He loves Nebraska. I think Na Hunter really loves his culture. But once again, money talks and greener pastures also talk. So at this point in time, my prediction is that Na Hunter won’t be here next year. Again, probably 50/50 up in the air, but again, some big time programs will want him. And then I do expect us to lose probably a surprise in there. Probably a surprise. Uh Cortismo, I think, safe. Jeremiah Jones, I believe, is safe. Um but again, there could be a surprise here. Maybe a Quinton Clark. I mean, maybe maybe Jairon does leave, but at this point in time, I do believe three receivers will leave. Again, that’s the position. I mean, the receiver position more than any other. Like we know how that works. We know that give it and take it away. So, I do believe three receivers will leave Nebraska. That’s just the sport nowadays. Going on to tight ends, of course, we lose Hinrich Carbick to graduation at this point in time. I believe we will lose two tight ends to the transport of one of which is going to be a surprise. It could be an Eric Inerson. We’ll see. That’s a hometown kid. I actually went to elementary school with Eric. one of my guys over there. But we’ll see. Uh he I don’t really know if he’s going to get on the field over these next couple years. And then the one that I don’t think is too shocking at this point in time. I do believe Cart Nelson will not be a part of this football program next year. Again, that’s just again prediction, but um he’s not been very happy over this two years. He feels like he has not live to his expectations that he set for himself. He’s if he were to enter the portal, he’s going to get interest like he will get interest from power four schools. And at this point with Carter, I believe that he probably believes in his hearts he can be developed at a better program. So would not be shocked if Carter were to leave. We’ll see there. We also know he’s good friends with Dylan. So again, the Dylan uh the Dylan outcome will likely impact Car Nelson whether or not he’s here. But again, is that a huge loss? We’ll see. Again, we’ll talk about if it were to happen, but at this point in time, I do think it’s more likely than not that Car Nelson will not be here than if he were to stay. But Luke Lenmire, he’ll stay. Macarway will stay. And I actually do think we’re going to take a lot of players at tight end in the portal. All right, let’s talk about the offensive line. I’m actually not expecting to lose too many players to the O line. We’re already losing a bunch of graduation. I think Justin Evans is safe at this point in time. Tyler Knack. He’s interesting because he’s not going to start here. I mean, that’s somebody who right now I will say leaves as Tyler Knack. Pritcher will probably stay. So, right now we have Tyler Knack. I think we’ll lose probably a guy like Jake Peters just really I mean he’s a kid from Iowa. Don’t really know what his future looks like. He’s been banged up. We’ll probably lose another surprise in here. Somebody who’s currently a red shirt freshman, a red shirt sophomore. And heck, we might we might lose a true freshman. You never know. We might lose somebody who’s a current true freshman. I think we’ll lose at least one. I mean, usually with most programs, you lose two or three true freshmen who just, you know, made a bad decision coming out of high school. Wouldn’t be shocked if that happened maybe at the O line spot. Uh, we’ll see. We’ll see. But right now, three offensive linemen for Nebraska. I expect to leave in the portal, but not too much. Really, not too much. Even if there was a change made at our offensive line coach spot, don’t think we’ll lose anybody to the portal there. Or, excuse me, we’ll lose we’re not going to lose a bunch. We’re going to lose only three. All right, going to the Dline. Now, this is a position that I have said over these past couple weeks. If everybody were to leave, I wouldn’t even be mad. I wouldn’t I wouldn’t bat an eye because the D line played that bad this year. We lose Elijah Judy to graduation. Right now, I expect four players to leave at this position in the portal. Now, just looking over them, wouldn’t be shocked maybe Cameron Lenhard will leave. I mean, there were some rumors last year when Terrenstein left that he could be going to greener pastures. He ended up staying. I mean, Cameron Lhard’s a great guy. He’s a great leader. Um, we’ll see there. But again, he he’ll get interest from power four schools. You better believe it. And I just don’t know if he’ll stick around if he start next year as a senior. So, I have an eye out for Cameron Linhard. Jaylen George is interesting. He could be a one and done here with with I I don’t believe that was a good take at all coming out of FCS. I mean, he barely played and if he barely played this year, he’s not going to play next year. So, Jaylen Jordan, another guy I’m looking out for. You got Sufoto who might go back home to California. You got Ashton Murphy, right? He’s a kid coming on Nebraska, but again, I mean, is he ever going to play, right? A lot of these guys want to play, and I just don’t know if he if he will. So, that’s four right there. And again, I wouldn’t be shocked if we see a surprise in there. wouldn’t be shocked even like if if a Kona Davis were to leave because he entered the portal last year before he got paid big time to come back. You never know, but I’m expecting at the very minimum four defensive linemen to leave and kind of those are the guys I have my eyes out for. At the linebacker spots, uh this is another position I think is going to be rated. Now, Roger Granny, I don’t expect to be here next year. Willis McGee, already a lot of rumors there with him red shirting, not being very happy about that. Um I I do think it’s more likely he’s gone than if he were to stay. And then looking over the rest of this position, Maverick Nunan’s interesting, right? Obviously, he’s a legacy. His dad played for Nebraska, but still like again, he’s barely played. He’s a special teams guy. Wouldn’t be shocked if Vinn Shavers I do believe will stay. That’s something I kind of have my eyes out for. Like he he’ll get tampered with for sure. But Vinn Shaver stayed last year. He loves Nebraska. I do believe he’ll stay. Other than that, I think I think it’ll be pretty much Tasquo. But I would I think Roger Gradney is pretty much him him and Willis feel pretty confident those guys are going to be gone more likely than not. And then going on to the DB position. Yeah, I mean I told you guys this is the position that’s going to be rated the biggest or excuse me the most. It’s going to be rated the most. Excuse my grammar. I was talking with somebody on the team uh who’s on this defense just a couple days ago and he said out of all the positions half of the DB room might be gone is what he said. Um so let’s go over this entire DB core. Who’s gone? Who’s staying? Of course these are guys leaving to graduation. Malcolm Hartzock likely will return. I do expect Andrew Marshall is going to get a lot of interest in the portal. However, I do believe he’ll stay with Nebraska along with Jir Khan, but looking over the rest of it, yeah, I mean, I think I could see a lot of these guys gone. I could see I think BL Hill’s gone. Jeremiah Charles could be gone. I mean, he’s dating a player on the volleyball team, but still, again, he he’s barely played this year, right? He’s very raw. Was kind of a bad take coming out of high school. Bryce Turner’s pretty much gone. Um, Justin Wright, we’ll see there. We’ll see who Justin Wright. We took him from Georgia last year. Amar Sanders would not be shocked. would not be shocked with Marie Sanders. Would not be shocked with Brilen Prud at all. Um would not be shocked even with a Larry Tarver. I hate to say that because I love Larry Tarvin, but again, those are guys coming off Florida who very talented, right? They’re going to get interest. So, we’ll see. But I at the very minimum right now, I’m expecting I’m expecting six really. Um and again, watching out for guys like Jeremiah Charles, Blly Hill, um Turner, Rhett, Sanders, Tarver, those kind of guys. And we could even see a Marshall leave. It just kind of depends on how much he’s offered in the portal because he can he is a guy who who will be tampered with unfortunately. That’s the way that it goes. That’s just the way that it goes. As for the special teams, um Oh, Crystal Nano. Yeah, Tristan’s probably gone. I mean, he’s not going to play. He’s always injured. Why would Tristano stick around? Yeah, I mean, he might just stay with the university, not play football anymore. I don’t know. But I I don’t believe he’ll be in Nebraska next year, at least on the football team, because he’s not going to start. He’s not going to be a part of kickoff duties either. So, all right, that is my prediction going through all of it. I think one quarterback. Two running backs or one running back cuz I miss already gone. So, that’s two. Three receivers, so that’s five. Two tight ends, so that’s seven total. Three offensive linemen, that’s 10. Four defensive linemen, that’s 14. I could see even five defensive line. We’ll say five defensive line. We’ll say 15 on the D line. We’ll say three linebackers, 18. We’ll say six DBs, 24. And then we’ll say one special teams member, that’s 25 total. So, I know some people will comment. They’ll say, Wilson, that’s a lot of players leaving. 25. Do you really expect 25 players to leave? Well, we forget that last year we lost 40. We lost 40 players last year. And yeah, we had some coaching turnover, but there’ll probably be coaching turnover already. And there’s there probably has already been coaching turnover by the time I release this. You never know. So, you never know, right? Um, but that’s what I’m expecting. 25. There could be more, there could be less. I I do expect some surprises. Again, that’s the sport nowadays. You have to adjust. You have to get better. We we weren’t a great football team this year. So, I’m not even going to get mad if anybody enters the portal because not only are they gold and green pastures, but who’s to say they were even that good in the first place? And we can replace a lot of those guys in the portal anyways. And in Nebraska, we’re going to gain a lot. Trust me, we’re going to get a lot of dudes.
