Played A Random +5 in EGYPT | Walk On Wagers
Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. Today we’re in Egypt at Sokna Golf Club. We are here for the Red Sea Open is an ADT event. We’re going to challenge one of the players at the range to see if they’re down for a walk on Wager episode. Wow. What is that? A one iron two. Two. Hi, I’m Maslin. Maslyn Dre. Nice to meet you, Dre. You too. Are you okay being on camera? Absolutely. So, I have a series called Walk on Wagers where I pretty much play with random people that I’ve never met before and do like some type of like money match for six to nine holes. Nice. I need the money. Are you down? Yeah, I’m down. Totally down. Awesome. What are you uh what are you playing off of? An index. Yeah. Do you do you guys even What is that? You guys don’t keep handicaps cuz you’re tournament players, do you? Only if we like play like proams. Okay. If we need like like a team cumulative score. So, the last time I had one, I think it was a plus five. We’ll figure out how to do this match on the first T box. And the question is, what’s your handicap? I’m a six. We’re going to play nine holes match play. What do you think is a fair stroke-wise if I play from the front and you play from the tips? Three strokes. Three strokes. Okay. Tunnel. Okay. Perfect. Sweet. This is a pretty short course compared to what they’ve been playing. So, there’s three courses here at SNA and we’re playing the C course. He hasn’t played. So, I have a bit of a b like I have a I have a bit of an advantage on this course playing against him. He’s used to fast greens. This course is very short. So, even playing from the tips, like he might get in a little trouble just because of how close everything is. So, I’ve had a pretty frustrating couple of weeks. So, you’re just going to see me bomb drive. Okay. You just don’t care anymore. No more two iron. Well, maybe a couple. No one wants to see someone hit a two iron. No, no one wants to see that. Like, be as unhinged as you’d like. Wow. That is so straight. I think that’s past the bunker. That was incredible. I lost I lost eyes on it. That was crazy. Nice shot. Thank you. This is like getting in my car. Oh the dirty Oh, the coffee is tainted. The dirty towel got in it. Extra minerals. Extra minerals. Ew. Oh my gosh. Oopsies. Get over. Oh no. Go. Get on some grass. Oh no. You got some work to do. Yeah, that’s not good. I thought I got rid of that miss. Oh, I didn’t adjust my grip on that. Damn it. All right, no stance. Luckily, I’m pretty close. 77 yards. I’m going to take a 56. It’s a tricky little stance. Yeah, I don’t know what I’m doing here with the stance. This is a new one for me. That was pretty well executed, M. All right. Wow, we’re live. I got to What a shot. Don’t mind my I got I got the divot. Oh, all right. Got to be quicker than that. That was pretty money without lie. I just gripped down on it and didn’t think too much about it. That’s You know, there’s there’s worse shots to have in golf than that. Say you’re a hustler without saying anything right there. Wow. Subtle. Nice out. Subtle. Give me the line. Yes. Yes. He’s giving me the line. Just barely by like that much. Nice shot. Thank you. Do you like the pin out? Yes, please. Yeah. Who likes to pin in these days? Please don’t tell me you do. No, I don’t. Okay, good. Statistically, it makes no sense. No. Hole just seems bigger. On bunker shots, I definitely do. Definitely like to pin them on those. Oh, I guess I am giving you the breed. So, I kind of have the advantage here. I’ve put on these before. You haven’t? I know. I have no clue. And you have to give me the read. I swear that hole looks a lot smaller. I think these ones are smaller. I’m not even joking. I think they’re smaller. They are. Yeah, these holes. That’s insane. All right, good practice. Pass palum greens. These are interesting. And they actually have grain on them, which is weird. Don’t give up the cup and just hope it gets there. Wow. Are you serious? You really had to do that to me on You saw the line. I did, but we’re putting with a small hole. That looked like it was inside left. Let’s see it. Okay. Can’t give up the hole. I have to make this. So, if it goes past it, it’s fine. Oh, that was dirty. What a birdie. You made me nervous there. I was going to say if he makes it on this, like I’m actually I’m in the more pressure situation. I don’t know. But that second shot of yours, that was pretty uh pretty money. I thought I had it locked in already. Oh yeah. And I got to give you strokes. Don’t worry, it all goes downhill from here. Actually, I’ve been starting with a lot of birdies. And that whole rule of like starting with birdies bad doesn’t exist in Egypt cuz it’s been fine. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like that’s only a USA rule. That’s just a mental thing, right? Yeah. You start with a birdie, next thing you know you have all these expectations. are the worst sports on the planet for golfers. You play and then let’s say you know you’re 5 600 you’re already thinking course record. You’re going down. It’s done. You know I can’t relate cuz I’ve I’ve never had that thought. I’ve never in a million years thought that. Have you broken uh the sub70 mark yet? No, I haven’t. And it’s I think I have some type of fear once I get under I get like really bad anxiety. So I’m not comfortable under par. Is it just not like finishing? I always have some meltdown. So, you are a golfer? Yeah, exactly. The moment I touch my two iron is the moment you know I’m Oh, yeah. Once you start messing with the two iron, it’s over. I’m going to I’m going to give you a hard time about it. Everything. No cowardice today. This is either staying on the course or flying off the planet. Wow. Get right. Go right. Right. Get right a little bit. Okay, that’s perfect. Nice shot. Thank you. What driver are you using? Uh, AI Smoke Triple Diamond. You like that one? Yeah, I like it. I’ve been I went through like three drivers this season, Titalist, Tailor Made, and then I had a couple of buddies on Callaway staff and I said, “You know what? I like the way that driver looks aesthetically.” Wow. First round I played with it. I played a tournament and the last hole of the day was a short par4, like 325. I knock it onto the green and make the eagle from like 5 ft. And it was great. I was like, “Oh, this driver’s legit.” First thing my friend asked me, he’s like, “Did you put in for skins today?” I was like, “No.” He goes, “That’s like 2,000 bucks.” I was like, “Oh my god.” Oh no. Driver stay in the bag, though. 364 to the pin. I believe this is one of the pop holes. Pop means stroke for everyone who asks me that. I stroke here. Oh no. Oh, that’s not good. Get right. I might be in that tiny little speck of a bunker right there. But that’s the miss I know. Do you like playing the cut? No, I like playing it straight. Obviously. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Another lie. Oh my goodness. That’s crazy. We got backto back crazy lies. Wow. Mission failed. We’ll get him next time. Okay. Well, the good news is that I could get I can be up and down from there. Oh, yeah. It’s not over. Recovery shots all day. Now you got a decent life. Yeah, that’s better than what I was dealing with. This sand looks a little thin. Okay, 113. Taking a pitching wedge. How did I not All right. Well, at least now it’s your turn. At least my turn’s over now. It’s a pothole. Oh, what a nightmare. You’re either in trouble or I’m in trouble. Why? It’s 100 yards. Okay. Is that is that not a good spot for you? This is either my money number or it’s been my horrible number this week. I’ve actually missed a handful of greens more than I care to mention from 100 yards. It’s pretty sad. Is it ball striking or is it like direction? Direction. Okay. D I mean ball striking has been so so but like like you were saying a two-way miss. Yeah. And if you’re two-way missing on a wedge, you’re in trouble. Hang on. That was pretty good. Well, these greens, they kind of react funny. Yeah. Like they’re not fast, but they skid. They don’t exactly rip. It’s like they’re firm, but not fast. Well, we’re we’re used to California, right? Poa. Poa is sticky. Poa rips. You kind of know what it does with a wedge. This uh pass palum is kind of tricky. 77. All right, this is where the money’s made. Okay, I got a 56 in hand. This is a 60 shot now. I think about it. Bite. How was my My 60 shouldn’t have been long there. That’s why I took it. No, that’s me. Sorry. How did that go so far? I told you, right? They react weirdly. So, a good way to look at this bass, if you look like this direction towards your putt, you kind of see the shine, right? You kind of see how it like the glare comes up off the green. Mhm. So, essentially that’s down grain, right? And then you look towards the front of the green and you see how it’s like darker and that’s into the grain. So, essentially like it reacted down grain. So, you probably landed it short a pin high and it just took off down grain. Okay. I I’m still trying to see the shine that you speak of. I see it like light and I see like the kind of You see it’s like lighter, right? And then you see that way and it’s like dull. Yeah, it is dull and it’s shiny that way. Okay. Yep. Okay. This is for an allworld bogey. It’s a good roll. Huh. Overread that, but that’s fine. I think anything off these greens if you’re within 2 feet after a long lag is a pretty good effort. Oh, yeah. I was happy with that. Oh, you hit that bump. I know. There’s a little bump. That wasn’t a pure roll right there. I think that would have been in. I took a double there. A double for single. You got a par. You took that and you dodged a bullet cuz I popped. Dodged the bullet. Let’s go. There’s still plenty of golf to play though. So, you’re from California. Uhhuh. Is there a lot of other guys here that are from like surprisingly? I think I only met two Americans out here and they’re not from California. Oh, wow. Yeah. the the Americans are actually the smaller group in these events. Everyone talks bad about California, but if you had to pick one state that had everything, it’s California. Yeah. Like we have the best climate. We have the best climate. We have the ocean, we have the be, we have the uh mountains, we have the forest, and we have a lot of courses. It’s just like the uh taxes and the pricing. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let’s not get into that. Yeah. You know, I thought you like might be from like I was thinking like South America when I was approaching. I was like, I wonder if he speaks Spanish. Like I was coming up. I was right. I had my Spanish in my back pocket ready to whip out. Guess what? I got two iron. Wow, that’s incredible. I don’t even think I could get that thing off the ground. If you were to like make your bag like set some new clubs, I suggest trying one of these driving irs. Even if it’s like a three. With my uh club head speed, do you think that would be even like remotely efficient? Really? Oh, yeah. They make these They make these more forgiving and they come off so hot and it would help like ball striking. What’s the highest iron? The highest iron? I actually pulled out my four cuz it was just so bad. And I replaced it with a five hybrid. You have a five hybrid? Yeah, I got a five hybrid. That’s how bad my four iron was. You going to get a ninewood, too? Uh, no. I have a sevenwood. And I honestly like I’ve debated it. The driver is probably going to be in the bunker. So, it’s a 300 yard hole to the center. Mhm. Cuz the bunker is a trouble, right? Yeah. cuz like that’s just messy. Just left side of it then. Yeah, just left side of it. Something that’s stress free, right? You play these par fours with something that you can absolutely swing freely and stress free. You not have to do anything special. That would be my seven with See, this used to be a four iron. Okay. And uh I just hit this like I just prefer this so much to the 4 iron. Like it hurts my hands cuz I misit it so much. Uh, good swing. That should sit. I don’t know if it did, though. Hard to tell. You hit that thing straight as an arrow. Yeah, I was scared to go. I was scared of the water, honestly. So, we just go completely right side. I love it. That’s what I do. I get really worried about water with this club. I shouldn’t cuz I do hit it straight. That’s like a psychological thing. Is that your favorite club in the bag? This should be a PSA. Yeah. Get new wedges, people. At least a new lob wedge. All right. This purple pin is not the business. It’s all the way in the back, right? Yeah. We got 120. I’m going to play this 125 cuz we have a little bit of wind. I’m going to put this right cuz I do not want to go for that pin. I know my limitations and I have no business going for that. I went for it anyways. Get there. Oh, hang on. That was aggressive. Ooh, not bad though. Oopsies. That was a pretty ballsy play. I really just talked about how I wasn’t going to do it and I stepped over and I did it. I I don’t know what happened. I couldn’t help myself. Got 111. Got to be aggressive. That’s spinny. Get up. Oh, that wind. Go. That’s good. Oh, thank you. No problem. The wedges. They can either be the money makers or they can be the downfall. That’s like my least favorite rounds are when my wedges aren’t working. Yeah, cuz I love Cuz you have so many in that range. All right. It’s me, right? Yeah, it’s you. Can leave that pin in for me, M. Thank you. Got you. I might need it. Oh, you’re getting aggressive. Oh, yeah. I wasn’t all week, so I might as well be today. There’s no repercussions for it. Oh, there it is. We’re playing a money game. I got to have my finances intact when I fly back to the US. Oh my gosh. Great roll. That’s good. Thank you. That’s really good. Would you like to pin out? Uh yeah, I’ll take it. I got you. So, for tournaments like this, are these like not nearly as costly as the ones in the States? just because well we’re overseas. Well, they’re real events. They have world ranking points. Mhm. It’s our gateway into like the Asian tour and like the international series and live and there is no entry as long as you’re invited or have status, right? So, you get exempt in these events. The only thing that costs is obviously your ticket to fly out here and stuff, right? Okay. But these events are real events cuz you get world ranking points. Oh, I see. So, as a pro, you want that. Okay. That was a great roll. Another overread. That actually kind of went left. Yeah, I read it coming the other way. All right. No blood. No blood. That lab putter. How long you been putting with it? I’ve been putting with this for almost a year. How do you like it? I like it a lot. Th this putter and I like it looks a little ridiculous. It’s quite big. I’m aware of that. But like I have good memories with it. I feel like I’ve made a lot of stupid putts I had no business making with this putter. So, for that reason, yeah, I look at it and I think happy things. Everyone else looks at it and they’re like, “What is that? It’s huge. What are you putting with?” It’s massive. If I were to not get fitted for one club, it’d be putter cuz it’s like it’s all what you It’s all feel. Yeah. It’s all what feels good in your hands. I had like a really crazy slice, it still enters the chat sometimes. Like a over the top. Yeah. Like over the top. Nice. So, who knows what I would have been fitted for, but you know who had that? It was really successful on tour. Uh, was it Lexi Thompson? Oh, really? She had like kind of like a little over the top slice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that’s crazy. You should look it up on YouTube. I didn’t know that. I only think of like Lexi Thompson as like hitting like 300 yard drives. I didn’t even realize that, too. She struggled. Are you golfing in Dickies? No, these are Lulu’s. Lululemon. Oh, I know. Interesting. Do they look like Dickies? They kind of do. Too many golf brands, they make like ultra fitted pants. Yeah. Like too fitted. Yeah. I kind of want to bring back like uh the Tiger Wood style 2008 baggie. Yeah, that’s why he played so good cuz he was comfortable. Not wearing spandex, of course. Okay, 120. Not really any win. I I’ll have the gap wedge. Let’s see if we can rip this. Sit. Thanks. Sit. RIP. Nice shot. Thank you. What did you take? 52 50. Feeding multiple dogs should count as a cardio workout cuz these guys do not believe in patience. So, we recently switched to fresh food from the farmer’s dog for them. Real human grade freshlymade food that has ingredients that we could trust. They know the sound. They hear that fresh food pack open and suddenly it’s like Avengers Assemble. Ever since we switched their food, they’ve been really excited during meal time. They know it’s time to eat and they have energy. And it’s very easy to pre-measure this out. The best part is how easy this is when we’re on the move. Fresh food, pre-portioned plans delivered right to my door. All I have to do is grab the box for my front porch and try not to get trampled. Their energy is up. They’re excited for meal time. And Bowser’s out here conducting a full audit on the bowl. zero crumbs are able to survive him. At the end of the day, their health and their longevity really starts with what goes in their bowl. And it just makes sense that giving them real fresh food with simple, gently cooked ingredients supports them better than the processed stuff. Get 50% off of your first box of freshlymade healthy dog food by using my link or scanning the screen. Plus, you get free shipping. How often do you switch out your wedges? Uh, my lob wedge. So, I have I carry two of them with me, the same ones. I get two of the same ones made. So, I go through two 58° uh every year and then the rest of my wedges, my 46, 50, and 54, I change uh once a year. So, every 6 months you get a new a new lob wedge. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I thought that was pretty standard. Like, I figured that you’re going to answer that. For pros, usually 6 months is the life their wedge has. Especially if you’re like practicing out of the bunkers a lot, that tears up your 60 or your 50, 50, whatever you prefer. This is going to sound diabolical, but I’ve had the same 60 for like 3 years. No way. Yeah, it’s pretty bad. I know a couple of pros that have like beat 58s and like 60s and I just can’t understand it. It’s not good to do. Like it’s really not good for your like zip. You got to have fresh grooves on the wedges at least. Yeah, that’s probably why I get no spin. Probably my 60 goes to 80 yards. Sure. We’ll we’ll use that excuse. Yeah, I’ll let you get away with it. Okay. Okay. 56. This wedge is new, so there are grooves. All right. Drop kicky. Get left. Go. Get left. Okay. Okay. Can make that putt. Yeah. Going to have to make something. But yeah, now I’m seeing like my 60 just doesn’t doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. It goes too far. There’s no like rip on it. Well, you can’t control the flight either. Like if you notice, it probably just goes high, right? And it’s it’s not really gripping on the face. You’re over here [ __ ] on my wedge game too much. I had to do something. I deserve it, I guess. No, but you’re right. I definitely am putting myself at a disadvantage by not having a 60 that’s been purchased in the last 3 years. Especially if you play a lot and you’re getting a single digit handicap. That makes a huge difference. Yeah. Like it’s stupid. Like if I was like a 20, I don’t think it’d matter. It doesn’t matter. Yeah. See, now I’m trying to really pay attention to like this glassy green situation. You can see it. I mean, it’s good to look at it from at least three angles, right? The main thing is just don’t overthink it. But if you see it, you at least know that’s down grain. Okay. A little aggressive. Good roll. You gave it a go. Would you like it out? Yes, please. All right. Hit it. Ooh. See, if I just would aim straight at these, it would make a world of difference. They don’t break as much. No, they’re not breaking at all. All right, we got a couple of knee knockers here. I think it’s definitely me. Okay, take your time. Drippy. So, this hole is smaller than the rest. It’s overgrowth. Yeah, it’s pretty beat. The tournament. I assume the holes are bigger. Yeah, they It just seems like these holes are like an inch smaller. They are. They really are slightly smaller. It’s crazy. Just getting our reps in, you know. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Nice roll. Thank you. Can’t miss those. Well, do you have any weird golf superstitions before like playing tournaments and whatnot. My my biggest golf superstition is like you got to pick up trash on the course. If you see trash, it’s like just pick it up, throw it in the cart, throw it in the trash. It’s like good karma. Okay. Right. That’s like my only main one. Okay. That’s not a weird one. That’s that’s like a proper one, you know, take care of the course. The course takes care takes care of you. But it’s like a it’s almost like a a a selfish thing to do because you’re you’re only looking for good karma. Like that’s that’s my whole like thing is like I just want good karma from the course. Yeah. I mean, if you think about it like that. Yeah. But Oh, wait. This is the whole you pop, right? Yes. Okay. Big pop. Some candy. Big pop. Second one. It almost reminds me of something like u like Palm Springs or like Lita. Yeah. Right. Like you got the desert outside of the fairway. Yeah, it is pretty similar to that actually. Wow. Stay left. Really good. Or actually stay right. I mean, think you’re going to be good. You think so? Yeah, I think you’re good. It opens up a little bit. Uh, I believe so. Okay, cool. I’m just going to keep aiming straight cuz I don’t know what I’m working with right now. Oh, good swing, M. There we go. Oh, there’s a straight ball right there. Good move. If I didn’t hit it straight, I was going to take out my anger on that little C marker right there and just finish it off. So, you see this little bump right here? This bump broke my gimbal. So, the camera we’re using for this video, sorry guys if it’s shaky. We’re back on my Sony. The gimbal broke because of that bump right there. And I’m really upset about it. And I can’t get a gimbal in Egypt. So, sorry about this footage. It is what it is. What can you do? L5 footage. Yeah, it’s just it’s not that it’s bad footage. It’s actually a better image. Okay. It’s just like shaky. Oh, okay. 158 into some heavy heavy maybe like a one club breeze. One club. Yeah. 158. So that’ be usually a seven. Okay. So now we’re looking at a six. And this is this isn’t my favorite club in the bag, but like we said, I’m going to strike it confidently. Uhhuh. Turn. turn. I got down on the toe, but it worked. Should be up there. It’s short. Oh, okay. I see it now. You know, the sand’s better. I know, right? It’s fluffy. It is. It’s actual sand. I don’t know if you uh prefer it to be fluffy like on a lie like this. Would you rather it be like fluffy sand or I like it firm on these these type of lies? I mean, I get I mean, that’s a planner, but I don’t see this being a ruling. So, I’ll I’m just going to hit it out of it. You’re already on it. Just Just commit to I’ll commit to it. 145. I got a soft 9 iron here just cuz of the lie. Would that be a ruling? Technically, like flower beds would be a ruling, but th this is just a plant and it’s not really like a sprinkler head either. I don’t think I get free relief from it. I guess it’s a sprinkler. Is it a sprinkler? It’s it’s your call though cuz you’re you’re you’re my opponent. So, if I was to take relief, it would be stance and then one club. Let’s make him hit it. Fair. Let’s go. Let’s go. I suck too bad to let you. Hey, I I just can’t right now. I’m one down. I love you. The gamesmanship. That’s This is what it’s about. And since it’s a match, anything goes, right? Yeah. It’s all between the opponents. That’s so good. Get there. Go, baby. Go. Nice shot. Out of the flower bed. That’s Oh, well, whatever that is. Whatever that is, right? The agave. Yeah. It’s like one of those things like, “Oh, yeah, I went to Egypt.” And then people are going to ask, “Oh, did you see the pyramids?” Like, no. Oh, the SP. I don’t know. Yeah. I wasn’t there. I had to play golf. Yeah. That’s like the first thing everyone’s going to ask. And Oh, yeah. I don’t think this will be the first or the last time. I think I’m going to have to come back for sure. Oh, yeah. The tour like this is a four-year contract. Yeah. Yeah. The Federation, they’re doing good things. Next year, Medinti is gonna have a Four Seasons. That’s crazy. Oh, yeah. They’re building it next to the range, right? Yeah. So, I think everyone’s staying at the Four Seasons. Go, go. That bit hard. I should have taken 56 for what I was trying to do there, but I just didn’t feel like walking back. Do you want the pin in? Uh, you can take it out. Thank you, man. All right. We’re not leaving this one short. Oh, I left it short. When you said that, I thought to myself, I was like, “What are the odds he leaves it short?” Talking all that [ __ ] just to do that. Wait, you pop on this, right? Yeah, I do. So, if I make this, I win. Yep. You know, this is in my range. I have it at the right edge. Oh, so clutch. I had to do something there. That was money. You know, I would have felt really stupid if I made you hit it out of the flower bed and then I didn’t win. Like I would have felt really silly right there. And that fear was like in the back of my head. I saw the tension in the hands. Good thought though. Were my hands twitching? No, I saw your knees go like this. No, I think Istanbul had the best food in the airport for like a like a lounge. Mhm. That I’ve ever seen. They have everything you need there. Yeah, they have like kofa. Yeah, it was a really nice airport. I was surprised. Total time, how long was your flight? 16 hours like total or what was it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it was um ours is 23. 23. Yes. From San Diego. Where did you fly from? Did you fly direct from San Diego? Um 350. That’s a magic number, Maz. Oh, that’s your number. That’s my number. You’re going to carry it? Maybe. I just Something about a a par4. That’s 350. Are these dates? Like they they feel like dates. They look like them. Yeah. Do it. Do it. Something could have had rabies and eaten this. It’s half eaten. I need a fresh one. And I’ll like They don’t have rabies any back. Golf fertilizer. That’s one thing about this course is they do have some pretty tough bunker complexes. Oh yeah. Oh, push cut. Kick left. Could not see it. Did you? I didn’t see a splash like sand come up. So, but I thought it was heading towards It was heading I think towards the cart path. All right. I love that you could drive these everywhere. I don’t know if I was supposed to do this, but No, it made sense. It’s all good, though. The bridge is big enough to support it. So, that’s what I thought. After I came up to you, there seemed to be another guy that just appeared out of nowhere cuz you were the only one on the range. Mhm. And another guy came up and after I filmed, he looked like he was abusing you. He’s my boy. He’s uh he’s from the UK. He played in the event as well. Oh, awesome. Yeah. Yeah. No, no, we we had we had a little banter. He’s like, “Are you going to get beat?” Literally. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Downwind. There’s a lot of bunkers. I’m just going to carry over the uh left the right side of the left bunker. T high. Let it fly. There we go. Don’t Don’t be in the sand. Oh, no. Carried it. Carried. I feel like it bounced up and disappeared. So, I don’t know if it bounced up and in or what. Are there more bunkers past that first set? No. No. Cuz that that carried it completely. There’s just uh some sand on the left. Okay. That was a big swing. Did you get fitted for your clubs? Uh most of them I got fitted for my driver shaft. All the woods are stock. The P790s I got fitted for like forever ago, like four years ago. Uh, wedges are fit. Four years ago, you probably shaved off a lot since then, huh? Yeah, I was probably like a near like I was probably teens, high teens index when I got fitted for those. Like maybe like a 15. So yeah, I got fitted even not even for those. I was supposed to originally have 770s to hit that. Well, technically I get relief from that sprinkler thing. Okay, I mean that’s valid if you’re good with that. There’s a sprinkler there, so that’s valid. Okay, cool. I’m not that unfair. I mean, it was a sprinkler on the last one. No, there wasn’t. No, there wasn’t. Was there? Technically, yeah. Sprinkler. Okay. Let me know if I’m wrong, chat. Let me know. All right. So, cuz they’re cooking either you or me for this. Both of us. One. Probably both of us. Yeah. It’s the YouTube comment section. You know, we’re getting cooked either way. All right. So, stance right there. And then one club. No closer. All right. Drop from the knee. You’re sitting good over there from good wedge range. So, I got to put this on. I got a touchy one. It’s like 45 yards, you know. A little awkward. Say, say, stay. All right. You’re good. Just had to get it out. The odds of me picking you out out of everybody is pretty kind of crazy. The only person probably in like a 100 mile radius from California if you think about it. Like we refer to Egypt is Yeah. all the way in Egypt. Like bumble [ __ ] Yeah. It’s crazy. It’s crazy how far. What’s crazier is that like the Asian tour came out here to Egypt. Like when I got the notice for it, I like I had to rub my eyes. I was like, Egypt? Like there’s golf out here? Like I’m going where? Oh, what? No, I will say though that the Egyptians are putting a lot of money in the golf in the next like 5 years. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a really popular golf destination in like 5 years from now. And the Federation I my my friends are in representing the the the team for the Federation and they’re like some good young talent, too. Oh, yeah. There’s a lot of talent and they speak English well, too. I’m going to play this. I think it’s going to be right to left. 42 yards 60. This is just a touchy one here. Well played. Very nice. Played that pretty safe, but I’m not mad at that at all. Nope. Firm turf, isn’t it? Yes. I can hear that. Very firm. Does my ball visually bother you? No, not at all. Just making sure. Not at all. I might actually knock knock it and stop this one. I’ll use it to bounce off of. Oh, yeah. So, this is actually one of the first lies I’ve seen out here that’s actually sunken down, too. So, I know most of it’s all teed up. Settle. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Whoa. Oh my gosh. No spin. Maybe you should start leaving your uh wedges in your bag for like a few years and then like, you know, they’re just like seasoned at that point. Cuz you did pop on this hole. I have to chip this in and then you’d have to three pot. So, the chances of that are very low. Do you want me to take the pin out? Sure. Man, what a waste of a pop. I’m so disappointed. All right. Had to go for it. Okay. How about this? If you make this putt, cuz it already you already won the hole. Yeah. But if you make this, you get one more pop for the last few holes. You get to pick which sound good. He’s trying to If she doesn’t make it, then no pops. If I don’t make it, he’s tempting me into a three putt. You see how slick this is? He is so smart. That’s his play here because if I get aggressive, I’m off the green. So, I like his play. Let’s go. I’m going to still give this level pace, but that was uh little gamesmanship. That’s some good game gamesmanship right there. Feel like this is going left to right even though the high points over there inside left. No. No. I knew I knew. So why did it feel left to right when like it wasn’t going to go that way? So you were right here. You thought you you felt like it was going to go left to right. So it visually looked right to left, but I felt it with my feet the other way. Oh, I get it. Okay. Good far. Thanks. You see what I mean? Yeah. Yeah, I do. Like it was You know what’s funny, too, is if you notice right here, how like thin and dry it is, right? Yeah. I think that’s what dominated that putt cuz as soon as you rolled through this area, it yanked left. Yeah. And you can see how much drier it is. It’s a dry spot. And then when it’s drier, it’s going to follow the contour a lot harder. See? Yeah. Little ins and outs of putting, right? My feet lied to me. Thank you. Wait, do you use aim point? Yeah. An adopted version of it. Yeah. They’ve coined it as the Mazerena cuz apparently it looks more like a dance and it does look like I’m getting anything from it. The Mazerena. Yeah, that’s what they’ve coined it. But hey, it kind of works for me. I make putts sometimes, so on the occasion. Everything we learn in golf, it’s improvise with us. Mhm. Right. It’s never a set thing. Someone tells you to do a certain technique or whatever and you improvise. All right. Good hole. Clean hole there. Okay. I’m not comfortable. What do you mean? I’m one up on them, but I’m not comfortable cuz I used up all my pops and I didn’t I didn’t want to pop there. How many holes do we have left? Three. Three holes. This is a lot of golf. To beat you straight up in three holes would be like it’d be hard. Like I’m going to have to figure out how to. But I want to make this zestier. How do we make this zest? You want to make it a profit? Like what do you want to like cuz I Cuz you don’t get a pop. But it’s like I don’t just want to be like, “Oh yeah, you get another free pop.” You know? Don’t give me anything. I mean, you you think I can’t beat you straight up from here? Is that what it is? No, I’m actually I I don’t So, as a golfer, I don’t approach anything that’s like I’m going to underestimate you. I approach everything like a fight. Okay. Right. So, if like we’re in a fight, I’m I’m going to think you’re going to put me in danger. So, there’s no way in hell I want to be like, “Oh, there’s no way she can beat me straight up. Anything can happen.” Yeah. Anything can happen. But then why would you want to give me something? Exactly. I just wanted to make it zesty. I don’t know. You just want to make it zesty. You were You have any zesty ideas? Oh, cuz I was crying about it. Yeah, you were crying about it. I had to wipe your tears. Oh my goodness. Here we go. My mind goes straight to the prop bets that I’ve been trying to get. By the way, this is caffeine. This isn’t Zen, so don’t come for me. Um, I just realized I’m like standing here talking like this using this as a mic. Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. Today, no. Um, I’m just thinking of a prop bet where I can like Why are you laughing? Still holding the the Zin mic. The Zin mic. If you can tie the match cuz you’re only one down. If you can tie the match. I’m one up. What do you mean? I I won that hole. You won You’re one up. Yeah, I won that hole in the one before it. You were two down. I was two down. You were two down? Really? Yeah. Wait, hold on. Let me double check the card. Let’s get the scorecard right. Oh, yeah. Wait, wait, you’re right. You are one up. Yeah. Well, were you going to propose again? Yeah, you’re 10. You were crying for no reason. I wasn’t crying. I was just stating that. I would have liked my pops more spaced out. That’s all. I should be the one crying. All right, that’s fair. You’re one up, three to play. Straight up. Mhm. Get nothing. You get absolutely nothing. And you’re going to like it. All right, I got to play aggressive. Sorry to all the golfer afficionados out there. I’m not playing strategically. I’m just going to bomb it. I’m sure they’re very upset about that. Wow. All right. I think we’ve made him mad mad now. We’ve rattled him. I’m a little rattled. Yeah, you literally snuck up. I didn’t even realize. We were just having a casual. Next thing I know, I’m one down. You’re like, “Yeah, I was having a good time. I was going to just casually beat you and just like terrible.” Have you seen any cheating going on this week? Obviously, don’t point fingers. Thankfully, no. No cheating? No. It’s pretty disturbing when you do, though. Yeah. But I’m just curious. Thankfully, for the last two weeks, I haven’t seen any cheating at all. That’s good cuz I figure there’s a lot of accidental cheating, like miscounting, stuff like that. Yeah, that could happen. That can definitely happen. But I’ve never seen it in person. Really? Yeah. You see you see more of that stuff in the States, though. There there’s some there’s some sneaky Oh, yeah. sneaky things going on. Okay, so I have a 3-wood. I’m just going to knock this left edge of that bunker. Just stay there. I think that’s good. The UK and Europeans like they have a really good respect for golf. Yeah. And like for us it’s kind of like a party fest if you think about how most people golf. They snuck up on you a little bit. Yeah. You snuck up on me. You’re a hustler. That’s fair. I’m just trying to survive, you know. I still fear you. Yeah. You literally snuck up. I didn’t even realize. We were just having a casual. Just be aggressive on this one. You know, I’m in between clubs here. So, this is 104. This is between a 52 and a pitching wedge for me. But, we have wind. So, I might be able to hit a pitching wedge softly but comfortably. I like that when I play with better golfers, like I feel the need to do all this cuz usually if I’m playing with some hacks, I’m not doing all this. I’m just Hang on. Wow, that was a big bounce, huh? That wasn’t good, but I’ll take it. I probably should have told you that, but from your back box, I really didn’t even think about that. No, no, no. You You shouldn’t tell me any of that. This is competition. What are you talking about? You should You should tell me like, “Oh, it’s fine. It’s wide open up there.” All right. 66. Oh, you’re just going to like put this in five within 5T. I just I just feel it. Keep going. Keep going. You’re going to use the wind as a back stop and just plop it right there. All right. And it’s going to rip. Oh, you got cute with it. Skirt. Oh, nice spin. All right. Nice shot. Thank you. See, that’s in your range of like you’re probably going to make it. It’s never a given on these greens. You see how bumpy they are? It’s not. It can go anywhere. You excited to come back here next year? What are your feelings? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. a lot cuz not only because of the courses and like the potential of like growth, but also I’m good friends with all the Egypt Federation players, dude. And and they they brought me in and they treated me so good. So like I’m really excited to come back to Egypt. Seriously, that’s awesome. And like I’ve noticed all the Egyptians like their culture, they’re very nice and kind and like bring you in. Like it’s just it’s so crazy how like overly welcoming they are. It is. Okay, this is left to right. I’m gonna kind of play it a good bit left just because this hill feels pretty intense. Go, go. Oh. Oh my gosh. That was a good line. It was. You should try to just make this. Just put me out of my misery so I don’t have to putt this. This might be the highest pressure putt you’ve had all day. Oh, all day. Oh my gosh. No way. All right, come on. Make the clutch putt. I believe in you. Oh, that’s why I lined it up, too. And I thought to myself, why wouldn’t you just go straight for the hole, you idiot? All right. Oh, that was tough. When I get within a certain like footing, like 5 ft, I tend to overread and go too high. Did you think that was what? Going to break a ball left to right. No, not a ball. I had it at the left edge and it rolled straight to the left edge. Yeah, it’s been See, that’s the thing, too. It’s like the bump mixed with like how furry they are. It takes the break out of it. Or it could have been weird and it would have kicked it like a ball left. I dodged the bullet there. That was a gift. That was a nice gift. That was crazy. Missing that type of roll is just disgusting. I just wanted to kick something. There’s a little spring. Let me live. You definitely have an advantage on the power five. Some good karma over there. Good karma. Oh, the trash. Yes. That’s a good karma. So you can’t good karma. You like good karma. Wow. Hang on. That might be I don’t know if that’s in the desert. I just want to be on grass, please. I’m going to put the karma in your cart. Oo, good karma. Big bottles. I got two just to balance out if it was bad karma that I got that just in spite of you. So, I got another one. Okay. My line is up palm tree, the cluster of three in the middle. Where is that hook coming from? Go. Go. Oh, yeah. All right. We’re over. You’re good. My grip was so aggressively weak. I don’t know how that happened. That’s crazy how the weak grip is making you flip it cuz normally it’s the strong grip, right? Yeah, I flip. That’s why I switch to weak to like stop myself. You like to play that draw? Yeah, I love a draw. But that’s like my comfort right there. I like the draw, too, cuz it feels like you release it, you control it better. Yeah, but the pursuit of the draw can get you in trouble. Oh yeah, but thing is I’ve never pursued a draw. The draw has pursued meal like all natural. Like I I borderline hook it to where I have to think about fading it. 237. Let me double check for you. Yeah. 209 210. Okay, we’re downwind. So I think I should just take a 7wood. Oo, that’s your money club. Yeah, I don’t want to mess around with the three. This is a good lie. Why not? Big green wide open. Oh yeah, this might be a little short, but I think with this wind it might help it enough. Oh, wind got it. I don’t think that’s enough. No. All right. Just a little short. Probably a little 20 yard pitch maybe. I don’t think that was like in the center of the face. Caught that a little high, huh? Yeah, I caught it a little funny. I’ve never heard someone taking like creatine before golf for clearance. Maybe. Maybe I just don’t like Maybe it’s a professional golfer thing. Yeah, it’s becoming it’s becoming more of a trend now, I guess. 177. This is what S decent line seven six uh 77 8 iron depends. I mean, it’s a pretty crispy lie, too. It’s not like that soft sand that I had earlier. Stay Oh, stay left. That’s a clean strike. Thank you. Got a lot of green to work with. Yes. This looks like a 20 yard shot. If you notice, it’s sloping away from you, right? Yeah, I see that. It’s shiny. Yep. So, so pick your spot and trust it. Commit to it. I’m going to play this a little right. Oh, well played. God, that’s fast. I opened the face a good bit, too, on that. Well, you know the thing too about those lies when they’re kind of teed up, you kind of catch like a knuckle ball too. You notice how like it was kind of low spinning, right? Oo. To take the lead. Oh my gosh. Oh, that’s for that’s for birdie now. You just ended me. Well, you got to make yours for birdie. That’s true. You got to make this the title birdie. Thank you. Oh my gosh. All right. Come on. Okay. This is left to right. This is kind of your range. Yeah, it’s far enough for me to be a little comfy. Let me uh let me get this ball away from you so it doesn’t distract you. I see shine. I don’t know how, but I do. Trust it. Wow. Oh my goodness. You’re clutch. That was really clutch. See, who would have thought? For me to make a birdie, you have to make one first. All right, that deserves a fist bump. That was sick. That was a really aggressive fist bump. That That kind of made you mad, didn’t it? No. [ __ ] no. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Sorry. We’re not supposed to cuss. Oh, it’s fine. I’ll just I’ll just blur it. It gets me excited. Good match. Let’s go. That was sick. Good bird. All right. Bird is the word. Down to the nitty-gritty. All square. Whole square. This is a great match. Square, Bear. So, what’s your home club in Sacramento? So, I’m 2 hours north of Sacramento. Uh, my current home club is called Brambles and that is actually just north of Napa Valley. Oh, nice. So, my buddy is the uh the assistant pro there and then my caddy, he caddies there full time. So, Brambles is a new club. Uh, Brambles. Yeah, literally one word. Brambles. It gramles. Oh, dude. We gamble all the time at Brambles. But yeah, Brambles is one of my homes. And then um north of me there’s a there’s a town called Red Bluff and then Reading. That’s kind of like a bigger city up there. And Red Bluff uh I go down to a place called Wox Oaks. So it’s just a old school Rinky Dink Country Club, but super tight. And the greens can get really gnarly out there. So nice. But NorCal, we have a lot of hidden gems. Like to get a tea time in SoCal is crazy. It’s so expensive. It’s so hard. Everything is overplayed. Yeah. Like one thing that you probably still do appreciate coming from Nocal where golf is popular. Look at these tea boxes. I know. Like they’re untouched. I know. Like every tea box. There’s nothing. There’s absolutely nothing. No. Yeah. SoCal Golf. It it gets pretty pretty busy. Yeah. The tracks just get beat up. I was there um I played a place called Twin Oaks. Oh yeah. Yeah. Down at beginning of the year. It was for um it was for the pre-qualifying for the for the Monday for the PGA event, the uh what is it? The farmers. And I went out there and just to get a practice round like the day before the event. It was like, “All right, our earliest seat time’s like 2:00.” I’m like, “Shout out to Kevin at Twin Oaks. Love that course.” I played it once and I was like, “Why haven’t I been playing here?” Like, it’s kind of a nice track. It is. It’s decent. Yeah, it’s decent. And it’s away from the city, so it’s not like super crazy like hard to get there, right? You’re the second person I’ve challenged that has played San Diego golf. This almost seems like staged, right? Like you’re literally the second person like the Malaysian had played golf in San Diego. You played junior golf there. Oh, yeah. He lives in Malaysia. Yeah. Well, no, we all been to San Diego cuz it’s Junior Worlds. So, as junior golfers like you play like Singing Hills and then Tory Pines. Yep. TP. Well, and then the best junior golfers come out of San Diego. That’s true. Phil Mickelson. Tigers played there a bunch even though he’s from Cypress. But yeah, SoCal Golf. That’s Everyone’s been to SoCal G around the world. From around the world, I mean. All right, last hole. I got to lay down the hammer on you. I can’t let you get this victory. Oh, stay on the planet. Oh, that might stay. Sit. See? Hard to tell. Yeah, I can’t tell. It’s right edge of that bunker. Yeah, just some wild drives today. It happens. I mean, when you hit it that far, you can bail yourself out of trouble, you know? Nice little eight out of the desert. It’s no biggie for you. All right, last hole. Put some pressure on me. Let’s go. It’s crazy that I went from like nearly throwing up in the room to playing golf. And like the second I got upside, I felt good. is like being in that cold like 60 degree room like just like when you have the chills and stuff is just just not the play. I feel like Tikki and Bow are going off right now. If they were here they’d be going, “Oh, clutch drive. Good.” Right down the pipe. All right, we’re good. Probably got a nice juicy wedge left. Tikki and Maz, are those your dogs? Yeah. So when ambulances go off, they’re shepk. So this sounds like an ambulance. Uhhuh. They be going crazy for this sound. What are they doing? I have one husky and one Cavender King Charles Cross. Oh, that’s a fancy dog. That’s a fancy little dog. He’s He’s a cute little fella. But our husky, he’s um he’s more quiet. Like he’s a very quiet husky. A reserved husky. I like the idea of getting husky mixed with something obedient like German Shepherd. They don’t give they don’t give a flying [ __ ] They’re part German Shepherd. They’re like, “We’re going to act like huskys and we’re going to do it now.” Well, they’re such vocal dogs and they’re so smart, but they’re sneaky smart. It’s insane. Like they’ll literally be looking at you thinking things. Oh yeah. And like you can feel what they’re thinking. Like they’re It’s creepy. Tikki, like one of the two, he is too smart for his own good. Like the things that he thinks Oh, it’s me. Yeah. How old is your husky? Or both of them. They’re both about eight now. Oh, okay. Yeah. They’re still babies, though. They’re still your little babies. It makes me so sad. Like, how sad is it having dogs and knowing that it’s like like you have them for like a fraction of your life. Well, that’s so sad. It teaches you not to uh take time for granted and to stay present. That’s what that’s what having your dog teaches you, right? Yeah. It’s so true. Cuz being away from, you know, home, it’s like 2 weeks out of time. I’m like, that’s a big chunk of their lives. That is right. Like you’re missing like that’s crazy that you think about that too cuz I think about that all the time. It’s like it’s so morbid. Missing your like dogs growing up that you only have them for like so many years. But it’s the best kind of love. Yes. Let’s be real here. Okay. 100 to the flag. There’s a little wind at me. I have my 100 club. I’m fine if this comes up short because it’s the back pin. Get left. Get left. Skirt. Skirt. You know, I’m fine with that. I am so fine with that. Yeah. Pin high. I got you. Oh, thank you. Yeah. Pin high. Good strike. Thank you. Green and rags. We like those. We like those. Like I’ve been here for so long and I feel like I haven’t like I don’t know. It’s so strange. Like I haven’t been able to play with people. Well, you also got to think about it too. It’s such a serious atmosphere. It is. It’s so serious. You know, it’s it’s hard to approach a player cuz like we’re so locked in, but at the same time, it’s like you always play better when you’re having fun somewhere. And that’s like what you got to remind yourself, too. Yeah. I’m in the sand. What’s surprising? Wow. Thank you. That’s a really good shot. Thank you. I had to answer back. You’re kind of sticky over there. Like for these tournaments, every like 3 days like you’re trying to like kind of tread water. Oh, four days. 4 days. Yeah. Until you get an opportunity to make something like you’re kind of like are you really gunning for everything? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, it’s so mental cuz the the main thing is and you don’t want to think about it. It’s like you got to make the cut first, right? That first two days you’re like I got to make the cut cuz you don’t want to be left out and you you know essentially want to make your paycheck. So essentially, you’re putting yourself in such a negative like frame of mind to begin with. And that’s kind of what you got to get yourself out of if you’re playing these pro events. Like you’re out a lot of money just walking in the door. You don’t want to think that way. You just want to play. Oh. Oh, that was close, dude. Halfway in. I was like, that’s in. Oh man. Do you want to pin out? Oh, yes, please. I got you. Good roll. That’s good. Thank you. So, this is for the win. For the win. We’re all square. Yeah. We made it this far in the journey. Oh my gosh, dude. This was all set up. This was This was all set up from beginning to end to make you look bad. Oh my gosh. What a match. Thank you so much for coming on the channel. I had a great time. Absolutely. Thank you for having me. I I want a rematch. Yeah, we’re No, no, we’re saving this rematch. We’re saving next year. Part two next year. You’ll see it in a year. But I I can’t believe that didn’t go in. That’s insane right there. Good match. That was awesome. Good playing. You know, if I would have made mine, I think you would have made yours. That’s how it goes. We go. We haven’t been able to birdie our own like holes. I know. I know. But that was cool though. If you guys want to see more matches like this, like, comment, subscribe. You got to subscribe because we’re doing this again. Yeah, we’re doing this again next year and probably like twice.

Walk On Wagers… but in EGYPT. 🇪🇬
Huge thank you to the Egyptian Golf Federation for bringing me out and letting me film this episode at Sokhna Golf Club, home of the Red Sea Open.
In today’s match, I take on a serious player — a Red Sea Open participant and +3 handicap — who graciously gave me three strokes. And trust me… I needed every single one. This match was tight from the start and came all the way down to the final hole. The pressure, the views, the course conditions — everything about playing golf in Egypt was absolutely unreal.

hi maz. i think peter finch was in egypt recently. playing the egypt open. great video again as usual
One of the best videos so far! You both made it so natural that it was a pleasure to watch the entire video.
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
you need to get into the internet invitational 2. get a petition going or something!
wishing you and yours the happiest of holidays season. hugs.
Good round! I think this dude actually played to his rating
That was a good time! It would be cool if you and Karol Priscilla would challenge Alexis Miestowski and Marissa Wenzler to a money match. It would benefit your channels and would be fun. At least $100 a hole would amp the pressure. For their channel maybe do a punishment match? Strip golf? Lose an article of clothing each hole? Even if you all start out with 9 pairs of socks LOL!
Great guy. He was so supportive and gave you some solid advice. We will hold you to the rematch promise for next year or sooner if you are both in California at the same time.
Another gentlemanly opponent. Mazelyn knows how to pick them. An excellent match. And Mazelyn's game just gets better and better, letting her hang in there with an excellent player.
Great match. Really loved it. Good conversation between you two.
Maybe the best YouTube golf video of all time
Great opponent Maz. He made the match enjoyable.
I like your outfits Maz…
Is maz looking for a boyfriend???? Lol

Hope he does well, he's a quality person all around, you can tell. Maz, you were a great competitor in this one. Some really quality must make putts. I hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving… Your Big Fan Golf Pro from Vegas 😎
Really good match and super nice guy!
Who else wondered if this is Mazs bf ?
❤❤❤ can't wait for #2
Great video! looking forward to the rematch.
Ya’ll kinda look good together!
I never thought I would make a dog comment on a golf channel- but if you think about it they are just a part of your life, but you are their whole life 🫶🏼
Very enjoyable watching you and a gentleman golfer. Not enough of those and from CA! Go figure.
Big fan of this guy, class act.
Camera is shaky…it will be good video if shooting is stable
Lots of head movement which could be the issue with accuracy.
I haven’t watched you in a little while. Still so proud of you
Loved every second of it. That dude can bust a golf ball 350 but always into a fairway bunker 😂 Your game was solid, but I expected you to play an actual Egyptian Dude not a Male Model from California with the most incredible manners. Happy Thanksgiving if your Nationality celebrates it. GREAT JOB!!!
Something not a lot of people know about Andrea is he’s a Salamander conservationist in his off season…truly doing commendable work to keep those ecosystems thriving
Why wait till next year, play him in California. Great video.
Saying a dog is the best kind of love tells me you don't have kids.
California – taxes, cost of living, and politics. Cali has SB145, a law that removes automatic penalties for men as old as 24 having sexual relationships with boys as young as 14. I was born and raised in Cali and left for Texas in 2005. I visit there now that I'm retired but would never live there again.
Over here playing with the same set of irons for 20 years. Gotta respect this guy using a 2 iron I love a 3 and 4
I opt for a 5 wood over a 2iron of the deck tho
Great Match!
"You're right, you're one up." Snuck up on you….
Welcome to Married Life😂😂😂
More boobs than brains, just a standard mainstream selfie attention desperation girl. I can guarantee men that watch this has the same reason why they pay for sex and go to stripper clubs and absolutely almost no interest in golf.
This was a fun watch! Great match too!!
