One of the most outrageous lawsuits in golf while testing a Mazuno golf ball. And by far the craziest one in my mind is when a woman’s professional golfer had to sue a magazine because they inferred that she was doing a lot of lewd acts on the golf course and was starting to get paid to do them by other people, which was definitely not the case and ended up becoming a huge defamation case. And the lawsuit that backfired the most was when Rory sued his former management company for overcharging him and they actually hit him back with a counter suit saying, “Hey, you’ve got all these late fees and you broke contract when you signed with Nike.” And he ended up having to pay them $25 million plus all their court fees.
