So far on the channel, I’ve tested the T100’s and the T-150s, the latest irons from Tight List. However, these irons right here, I believe are going to cater for majority of people watching this video. These are the new T250 irons from Titist. They are a hollow head design, which look absolutely incredible, and I think these could be a serious competitor to the famous Tailor-Made P790s. Not that long ago when brands brought out an iron that was catered for the higher handicapper, they were ugly. They were disgusting looking. Honestly, big offset, a horrible design at the back. Just like, yeah, we’ll just chuck them out for the for the high handicapped golfers. That’s not fair. The majority of golfers that play this wonderful game might need a little bit more help, bit more support. Now, Titus have always been known for making better irons. Not anymore. Like they make irons that cater for every single golfer from the MBs, the tiny little blades that almost no, not even a Toro uses, the CBS, the T100s, T-150s, and now these, the two T250s. And these aren’t ugly anymore. They look absolutely incredible. Now, price-wise, they’re £1,400 for a set of seven irons, or £1,379 to be precise for a set of seven irons. Um, you can mix and match. If you want to go T250s, maybe throw in some T-150s or even T100, you can do kind of bit of a blended set. The technology story behind here is there are features a high strength steel construction. So, effectively when you forge a section of the club onto the face, sometimes it’s different parts. You might forgape that’s been forged on at the same time. So off the bottom strike, it’s supposed to be even more forgiving, which again, a lot of higher handicappers, I hit a lot of shots off the lower part of the face. So that’s going to help support that. There’s an improved max impact technology, which delivers more distance across the face. We’ve heard this story before from many brands. And like the T100’s and T150s, there’s split tungsten weighting. Tungsten in the toe, tungsten in the heel to optimize that forgiveness. Let’s give these a hit. Now, loftwise, the 7 iron is 30.5 degrees of loft, so pretty strong. I’m feeling I’m feeling it today. I’ve put the flag out 200 yards. Might not get there, but let’s give it a whirl. Um, looks wise behind the ball, very, very sleek. Again, they very much do remind me of P790s from Tailor Made in the in literally it’s the greatest compliment ever as well. They are one of the greatest clubs that’s ever been made. Oh, it’s come out like an absolute rocket. I’ve slightly pulled it. Yeah, it’s not it’s not quite Let’s Let’s might have been a bit ambitious there. Let’s pull the pin back to 190 actually. Really nice sound. Like a real crack like you know you’ve hit it. Yeah, really nice. Super super high like they are. Go. I found that in the T100s and the T-150s, they’ve definitely designed irons this year to launch, to get airborne, make it easier. Like, how much easier is that if it’s going up in the air? That’s actually we that’s actually not gone as far as I expected it to in a nice way. Like I mentioned it before in a recent video, I get scared of hitting the ball over the back of the green like that. There is 179 carry distance for this loft. It’s pretty much spot on. That was really interesting that one. That was very much that low groove strike and it still done really well. Like that was hit right on the bottom. It’s carried 180. That was not a good strike and it’s finished like 8 and 1/2 ft away from the flag. It was a different noise. Didn’t sound quite as nice. It was a little bit more um what’s the right word for it? bit more clunky sound, but the performance was still excellent. Yeah. In interestingly, and it sounds like again a really daft thing to say this, feel like these irons are very much designed for still giving you solid distance. They’re not designed for going super super far, which is good, honestly. Believe me when I say that. But what they have very much done is like geared it towards getting it up in the air. That’s going so high. I can’t almost believe it. Like the launch angle is 18 and a half degrees. Like I get that with like a 34 degree iron. Super super high. And it gives me confidence. Like I feel like if I was giving this to a higher handicap golfer, still going to get distance. Of course they are. But they’re gonna find it so much easier to get up into the air. You know what? Like I’m so intrigued to test these against the P790s. And to be honest, a few different sets in this category. If you want to see that video where I test this P790s, a few other ones, let’s say a Tacoma for argument sake, leave a like, leave a comment, and I’ll do that video very soon cuz I do think this this is a real contender for that potential top spot in this category, in that in that particular category, the kind of hollowheaded, forgiving iron category. Right, let’s give this one more hit. And I think it’ll definitely win on height. I just don’t think it’s going to win on distance, but that’s not always a bad thing. Take the break on a perfectly flat green. Right, let’s go. Uh, let’s go 99 next. Okay, 99 next. 38.5° of loft. I’m expecting probably carry this into the one high 50s, maybe even 160. Again, good looking iron. What I want to see is what we’ve just seen with the seven iron. If I’m honest, I want to see height. I want to see a solid distance. Of course, I do. I want to see how easy a club like this is to hit up in the air. Especially as well, the club coming up next, the four iron. If that if that is a club that’s again really easy to hit up in the air, that’ll be a game changer. Just a little bit off the bottom. Again, will that bit of uh design I mean, it’s helped it. That little bit of Lforge design. That’s definitely helped a little bit. 149 carry. That’s pretty good. I didn’t try that. Well, that was a little bit off the bottom. It’s It’s It is a weird clunky noise when you hit off those bottom two grooves. It doesn’t sound great, but you look up and your playing parts will be saying, “Oh, good shot. That one. That one is out the middle.” Yeah, that one was out the middle. You can just tell by the height of it as well. That was really really nice. I can’t get over the height. I mean they are going so so high. Beautiful. Very nice. Okay. Five iron. I’ve actually I thought I had a four iron. It’s five iron. 24 degrees of loft. Um again the player who’s going to use these irons probably will have hybrids fairway woods. They might not want to use a four iron. It’s a five iron quite might possibly be their longest iron. Let’s give this a hit. I’m intrigued. I’m I’m so impressed by those low strikes. I’m so impressed by the height. I want to see the same results with the five iron. I mean, that’s the highest fire I’ve ever hit in my life. That is so It’s just hu It’s great. So easy. So easy. There’s it. There’s even there’s even we saw it at tight list there’s a star version of these irons which are even weaker lofted like really traditional lofts um lighter shafts everything else everything to help the ball get up in the air I think it’s a huge market for that slower swing speeds they want to they want to be able to cuz effectively it’s speed that helps the ball get up in the air you’ve not got speed it’s hard to get up the ball up in the air having a set that’s going to help you these definitely help the star set. Literally, I tried to hit it at the uh fitting academy. I couldn’t hit it. My seven iron was going like a pitching wedge, but it’s not designed for me cuz I’ve luckily I’ve got speed. But if you haven’t, it’s perfect. And again, I’m I’m not I’m not particularly thinking for me like Well, I’m not thinking for me. I’m thinking for that average golfer who listen when I taught so much back in the day I know that people used to struggle to get the ball up in the air and then you’d end up leaning back and topping it where this feels like it’s really helping you. It’s really helping get the ball up in the air but yet you’re not losing huge distance either. Look at that. Look at that. Beautiful. Very nice. Very nice indeed. Okay, so first off, really impressed with those irons. Um, they didn’t feel as good as the T100s or T-150s, but what they lacked in feel, they offered in forgiveness, height, and kind of like that that reassurance that the club’s really helping you out. Interestingly, it’s not on this particular slide, but peak height was what I was looking for. They’re all pretty much averaging at 38 yards peak height, which is honestly so imp. Like they’re just flying, launching high, staying up in the air, landing soft. So, let’s have a look at some data. Uh T’s 250, 7 iron, 30.5 degrees of loft, carrying 180 yards on average. Pretty good. Like pretty standard. Spin rate 5 a half th000. Kind of becomes a little bit irrelevant because the ball’s going to be stopping so quick anyway. It doesn’t really matter. Uh really good ball speed. We look at the 9iron. Again, pretty much what we’re expecting to see. 38.5° of loft, carrying 153 yards, 7,000 spin rate, 113 mph ball speed. And then jumping into the five iron. Again, that was um the 5iron was 24° of loft, 205 average carry distance, just under 2 and a half thou, sorry, 4 a half th000 spin, which is really good to be fair with a five iron. Ball speed 136. What is interesting with these numbers, albeit I’ve hit the odd numbers, the five, seven, and nine, the gapping is actually looking almost perfect. If I was to hit the six and eight iron here as well, I could see those fitting into the gaps nicely because if we look at carry distance for argument sake, it’s 15 yards drop off between five and seven. Then, sorry, it’s 25 yards drop off between five and seven. So, you could hit a six iron would fit in perfectly there. And then between seven iron and nine iron, there’s a 27 yard gap. Again, I would imagine that’s where the eight iron would sit. Like it’s it’s really good. They’ve they what I feel like TS’ve done with this set has gone, right, let’s not make a set that’s designed to be fit in a fitting center and all you’re looking for is carry distance. Because too many brands, too many iron sets are getting fitted solely on carry distance now. and you’re forgetting the rest of it, forgetting the height, forgetting how easy they are to hit, forgetting all of those aspects, the gapping. This is a really solid set for someone who genuinely wants help from their irons and not just looking 100% for distance. Guys, thanks for watching. Stay tuned. Lots more to come. Again, leave a like and drop a comment for that comparison video between these P790s and a few other little kind of sets in that mix as well. And we’ll see you next time.

I have been considering getting a fitting for these exact irons. Nice review!

The do look like p790 clones. Just wait for the lawsuit. Good stuff at any rate, lots of choices and the Titleist clubs are showing to be the top of the heap!!!
