Your Highness, Your Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the prize presentation for the DP World Tour Championship, the fifth and final Rolex Series event of 2025 and the season ending finale. As we conclude the race to Dubai here at Jira Golf Estates, I am delighted to introduce the prize presentation party. Joining his highness shake mansour bin Muhammad bin Rashid al-Maktum, chairman of Dubai Sports Council. On my far right is Guy Kennings, chief executive of the DP World Tour. His Excellency General Abdullah Al-Hashmi, President of the Emirates Golf Federation. Abdullah bin Damitan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, DP World GCC UAE. His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulam, group chairman and chief executive officer DP World DP World His Excellency Kalan Belul, Vice Chairman, Dubai Sports Council. Eric Nikoli, chairman of the European Tour Group. Mr. Abdul Hamid Sadiki, chairman of Sadiki Holdings, and Nicholas Brunswig, chairman of the board at Rolex. This week’s 17 edition of the DP World Tour Championship has truly been a celebration of golf and that will be illustrated by the trophies that we present this afternoon. I would now like to invite Guy Kennings, chief executive of the DP World Tour, to step forward and say a few words. Your Highness, Your Excellencies, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of our chairman Eric Nicoli and every single member of staff at the DP World Tour, thank you all for being here. I could not be more proud to be standing here at the conclusion of what has been a thrilling DP World Tour Championship at the end of an equally thrilling DP World Tour. Both the race to Dubai and the DP World Tour Championship grow from strength strength to strength each year and this is therefore the perfect spot for that finale. Inside the ropes, we’ve had extraordinary drama. We’ve had career grand slams. We’ve had number ones in America. We have had the impossible being done in Beth Paige by the RDER Cup team. And all of those extraordinary performances allow us to do a lot of other things outside the ropes. And those include announcements like we made this week, a historic announcement with DP World extending for a further 10 years with one of the biggest deals we’ve done in our 50 years history. Turning back to this week, I have to make many thanks to all the people that helped make this happen. I have to say first of all to Sultan and everyone at DP World, thank you for what you do. Thank you for supporting us as golf’s global tour week in week out around the world. We now look forward to the next decade. I’d like to thank all of our other partners to Nicola and Rolex. Thank you for what you give to us in the Rolex series and your support throughout the year to BMW who support our multi- tournaments and to Emirates to have blue chip partners like all of those just shows hopefully the strength of our tour. I’d like to I’d like to thank General Abdullah everything that the EGF does to inspire the next generation which is what we love to do as a tour. To Stuart and the team, the Greenkeepers here at Jira Golf Estates, thank you for producing an astonishing platform for the players to play on. It is immaculate. It allows the players to do what they do. And thank you to all of you, the members, for allowing us to steal your home for a few weeks. I’d love to thank the hundreds of marshals and volunteers who do everything they do throughout the year week. Without you, quite literally, we would have no tournament. I have to thank all of you the fans who have come out again in record numbers. 83,000 fans an increase on last year. You create that unique atmosphere that allows the players to do what they do. I’d like also, if you’d allow me, to thank my own team from the DP World Tour who work tirelessly every week of every year, every day throughout this week to deliver tournaments of the highest quality. I’m thankful to all of you. But finally, I have to turn to congratulate two players. We have to remember that every single player who’s here this week has had a great season to even be here at this championship. But I have to turn to our DP World Tour Championship winner. I kind of thought this season couldn’t give us any more drama, but I was wrong. Sure enough, the thrilling finish. Congratulations to you, Matt Fitzpatrick, for the championship win. It puts you in a very elite club of people who’ve won this championship three times. And now we turn to our Race to Dubai winner with his seventh Race to Dubai win. Rory, sometimes I think I’m going to run out of superlatives. what you’ve achieved this year with the Masters win, with a career grand slam, with your heroics with Matt and the other players at the Ryder Cup. You have secured your place in the game as one of the greats of all time. And what you do for us, for the tour, for international golf is exceptional. You’re a wonderful, wonderful spokesman. We’re very proud to have you on tour. And finally turning I have to to my thanks to Dubai itself. We’ve been coming here since 1989. It feels like home. You make us feel incredibly welcome. It’s the perfect finale for this great tournament and a great season. I look forward to seeing you all back here in 2026. Thank you. Thank you, Guy. And we’ll now move on to the trophy presentation for the DP World Tour Championship. Your highness, if we could please invite you to step forward to present the medal to the Champions Caddy. Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together. Congratulations, Dan Parrot. Congratulations Dan and thank you your highness. With scores of 69 69 66 and another 66 with a total of 270. The winner of the DP World Tour Championship from England is Matt Fitzpatrick. Congratulations, Matt. Please step over to the microphone. Oh, Matt. Wow. What an exciting finish. Congratulations. You have this trophy in your hand, your name etched into it for the third time. What is it about this place that you love so much? Uh, it’s a good question. Um, I honestly don’t know. I just seem to play well here. Um, the golf course is is a fantastic golf course. It’s uh demanding of all aspects of your game. Um, and I really feel that, you know, I enjoy playing. I think that’s a big thing. Um, I love coming back here to Dubai every year and play this tournament. And, um, obviously this one is another special one. and to put in the performance that you did today on Sunday to find yourself in a playoff with a player of such stature as Rory Maroy. Give us an idea of where your head was at and what you were feeling and experiencing as you headed back down to the 18th deep. A lot of nerves, that’s for sure. Um, you know, I know everyone knows the ability of Roy Moy. Um, the shot they hit into 18 in regulation, you just know full well he’s going to make that put as well. So, I was gearing myself up for a playoff and, you know, at least going down um to start again. You’re starting from scratch and you just got to see see what happens and and go with it. So, obviously it’s not the ideal way to to end. I I would assume I would assume he would say the same thing. It was a bit of a pillow fight there, but uh yeah, obviously it’s it’s been a great week and it has been a wonderful end to the season for you and we know there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes and so many people that are part of team Fitzpatrick. So, who would you like to thank? Yes, there’s obviously a lot of thank yous here. Um firstly his highness shake Mansour bin Muhammad bin Rashid al- Maktum DP world and in particular chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sleam uh Rolex Emirates Dubai Jira Golf Estates general manager Dan Nao Golf Course Superintendent Stuart Hallwood volunteers spectators and of course family friends and you know my people my team at home. um everyone this this win is for for every one of those that uh stuck with me in in this year and it’s been a tough one at the start and to end it like this just makes it very very special. So thank you everyone and thank you for your support. Congratulations Matt. Let’s hear it from our Patrick. Thank you. Just a quick congrats Rory. Big congratulations again on everything you’ve achieved this year. It’s uh truly phenomenal and you deserve every success. Thank you, Matt. So, we will now move to the final trophy presentation, the race to Dubai Champion. Your highness, if we could please invite you to step across to present the medal to the champions caddy. This time around, please put your hands together for Harry Diamond. Congratulations Harry and thank you your highness. After a simply sensational season, the winner of the race to Dubai from Northern Ireland, it’s Rory Mroy. I’m disabled. Give that lift if you can. Thank you, your highness. In addition, Nicholas Brunrig, chairman of the board at Rolex, will present a Rolex watch. Hello. Excuse me. Hello. Congratulations, Rory. If you could step in here or over there. No, there’s fine. Yeah, over there and say a few words. Thank you. Uh, thanks Diona. Um, your highness, your excellencies, uh, everyone involved, DP World, Rolex, um, and everyone here that supported us, uh, this week. I just want to say what a privilege privilege it is to come back to Dubai. Uh we we come back here you know three four times a year and uh you always make us feel welcome welcome. Um it feels like a second home. So uh thank you everyone for the support this week uh throughout the year. Congratulations to Matt. Uh I said to him before the playoff, hopefully this is just one hole. It went one hole in the wrong direction. But but um yeah, look, it’s been another amazing year. Um to win my seventh um to be part of the RDER Cup team, to win away, to win the Masters. Um I I said earlier I uh I didn’t get this far in my dreams. So this is a dream come true and hopefully Matt and I will see you on this screen next year. Thank you. Let’s hear for Rory Maroy. And if both winners could come back and lift their trophies one more time. Let’s hear it for our champions. Mix fast for everybody. And that concludes surprise giving. Thank you, your highness, for joining us today, your excellencies, and everyone here in Dubai. Safe travels home. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

  1. At this point, the golf world isn’t driven by rankings or tradition…
it’s powered by Middle Eastern money. DP World, LIV — it’s all the same show with different logos.

  2. It was a pleasure to see Iona in this distinguished role. Her enthusiastic radiance far overshadowed the sheikhs.
