Right. Three tips to hit your pit shots really close. Get your weight on the left. Loose, soft arms. When you’re playing the shot, make sure your chest rotates around your feet. And there we get them nice and close every single time.

  1. Thanks Dan, since watching you my short game has really improved. Last round two over on the backside, three birds~two chip ins!

    Thanks for helping us all!

  2. Great tips Dan. It’s hard to make out by watching alone but does your weight transfer at all to the back or remain constant on the left side?

  3. With that many flags you’ve only gotta hit the green and it’s a good shot. Wish my local course was like that 😩

  4. I just bought 3 releases and practising hard. Going into my traineeship next year.
If I took that divot I would be concerned. Maybe Dan could clarify what and when is acceptable.
    Obviously results speak volumes 😂

  5. Yep! On every approach to the green, I always call out Release 1, 2 or 3… followed by a jubilant „Dan Grieve“ shout out. I’m in Germany, so many are not familiar with the name, but they’re now hearing a lot of good things! You’re instruction has improved my game substantially! Thanks, Dan!

  6. The problem with my local courses is the grass looks nothing like this around the greens. I can’t even get rewarded with a great drive or iron shot. Falls in a divot or sand hole patchy grass. I hate it so much because an easy par 4 or 5 turns into an easy bogey or double from a nasty chipping lie
