Today I take on threetime PGA Tour winner Scott Stallings. A great golfer but even better gentleman will go head-to-head at a tour venue. He’ll give me and you guys advice on how to improve your game. Now make the face in there just a little open and just get a little across on top of it. That was a lot different than what you were going to do. And also bear witness to the worst hole of golf ever played. Love what you’ve just seen there is me to throw a whoop on myself. That’s good. There’s nothing about this which is good. Scott. Scott, welcome to the channel, mate. We’re going to pretend like we not spent the last two days together. Uh, and that we’ve just met. Uh, so if you’re not familiar with Scott, make sure you check out all his social handles. Now, uh, we’re going to be chatting about golf, obviously, a lot today, but also maybe about YouTube cuz you want to start getting into this space, I believe. Yeah, just kind of dipping my toe, learning learn from the the man himself, seeing what seeing what the water’s like. At the moment it is warm because we’re here at Eagle Point. The sun is coming up a little bit windy. This is a tour venue as well. So this has held the Wells Fargo for one year. And you played it here, didn’t you, as well? 2017. 2017. Did you make the cut, Mr. Cut? I did not. Happy Memories. And we’re going to play nine holes of stroke play. Um Scotty’s basically just coming well not quite back off a massive injury. So very much appreciate you being here. Uh elbow still a little bit funky. Yeah, we’ll see how it goes. So yeah. some the tracer could see some interesting shots, but hopefully, you know, I mean, that’s that’s no different than what we see nor. Right, mate. Do you want to uh do you want to lead us off? All right, we’re ready. You want to get us going? I don’t know. I think I’m just really nervous cuz you have your shirt tucked in with no belt. That’s just really throwing me off. I don’t know. I don’t know if you can trust a guy that tucks a shirt in with no belt. I think it’s even worse now cuz you you took your shirt and you no belt and now you’ve wrapped your jumper around it. Yeah. Perfect. Yeah, we’re just going to try to whack it up there by the green. First shot of the day. Set the tone. Right. I stepped in. Seems okay. I think I mean when we played the T- box was back by the car path. So you just hit it out by the bunker. Never really ever just hit it towards the green. So what what you’re saying, Scott, is actually off these things. This is a harder course than what you were playing. Is that what you’re saying? Yeah. It’s just a lot different. We’re making it hard on Weezy. He’s he’s catting for both of us and we could we are 100 yards apart. Yeah, that was that was that’s probably not ideal. But Kieran, you got a bunker. A bunker. A bunker. I got the bunker. You got the boogie. You’re all right. We got a a a hill and a tree. It’s like a welcome back to golf round, isn’t it? It’s like, man, here we go. Yeah. 133 kind of in off the right. I It looks like this ball could go forever. Try to chop it up there on the front of the green and hopefully get lucky with the bounce. Sit there. All right. Managed it. Okay. Yeah. You’re still really good at golf. How’s that feel? The rough is okay, but anything that I really have to hold the face, man, it’s just like my I’ve played my whole life kind of across and like really this way. Yeah. And so, man, that’s all like and this is my where my club face is. I really struggle with feeling in these fingers and then once it once I hit a bunch it just gets really tight in my elbow. But if I hit it just in the edge of the rough and get a little fluff on it like that does okay. Oh, so you were aiming over there. I was I was okay with that. Scott is still that good. He’s just aiming for specific lies in the rough. 116 almost dead in out the bunker. Okay. I might try and hit like a little little 54 44. We got action. Go, go, go, go. It’s into wind. It’s into wind. Scott, how could I be less stupid? Have you played enough over here to like under kind of feel comfortable in Bermuda? It’s still like norm like most lies. Fine. Not really bothered. As soon as it gets around the green, that’s where it’s more of a Well, that I think that’s where like definitely spend some time like cuz there’s so many unique ways to do it that are so opposite of how you typically play like where you guys live. The compound I’m playing. I’m pretty sure it’s the Egyptian Open. I’m pretty sure that’s Bermuda. So, the only reason I’d probably go up in the air on a shot like this is cuz out of being Bermuda, I kind of know how that’s going to react. How would you play this? Would you back foot this? I would take like probably almost like a gap wedge and open it and get a little across it and kind of like make sure it’s going to run cuz the shot you have is going to have a ton of like this and you need the ball to go that way. You need to kind of manage your launch. Yeah. Now make the face in there just a little open and just get a little across on top of it. Chase it up the slope. That was excellent. That was a lot different than what you were going to do. Oh my god. So, so many people like So, that was as a Oh, that was a pitching wave. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, at the end of the day, like I can make this whatever I want, but so many people just see this club as far as I’m going to set it square and do this. Especially in a unique shot like that. I’m trying to manage the launch because you need that ball to chase up and over the hill. So, why would you ever put like I can make this have a bunch and then if I can kind of manage my setup in there, then the ball does exactly what we want. That’s good. Good par. Well, thank you. That was very well done. New technique. If you want to come caddy, if I don’t make a return, I’ll come catty the Egyptian Open. They’re not as fast as the putting green. So now I don’t know what to do. What it’s like throw play and I think that’s just outside the zone of friendship. So no, that’s fine. I wouldn’t I wouldn’t give that. And guys, if you are enjoying this video and you do want more of these videos with the tour pros, like getting an insight into like how to play on certain shots like that, but also like their experience of being in the biggest events in the world. Make sure you hit the like button on this video and make sure you subscribe to the channel. Um, just want to say massive thank you to Johnny O for getting us out here. Very nice. Very nice. Yeah, these are a little bit more like that putting green sitting up on that slope is like, oh wow. Yeah. [Music] All in one. I’m going to throw you in that water. Me? Yeah. Together. Cannonball back flip. What do you think? Without the camera. Yeah, we’ll take the camera out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We’ll get you prepared. We’ll get some armbands on you as well. Yeah. Honestly, Scott has mentioned about hole in one like four times now. Yeah. I don’t know if he knows something that we don’t. But this is like just a really good number. No, I just would love to see it. Like whether I make it, you make it. If you want to make a hole in one, I ain’t going to stop you. But you All right, you go for it. I’m slightly blinded by the sun. All right, let’s see what we got here. Is it that little collection area? Is it big old slope? Wow. Yeah. We go 48° I think. Long is not ideal. He hit it in the sun. Oh, wow. All right, that’s fine. So, when we played the tournament here, all that was shaved. Oh, all the front as well. Everything. So, if you hit a ball like say one day the wind was like that. If you hit a ball kind of where yours is, that thing is it’s gone. Gone. [Music] When you get greens this speed, it’s like the wind does make a difference. Huge. And there’s just the ball just kind of glides. I am I am so good at putting. Right. We are low pot level. [Music] All right, back in. You’re going to try to hit it up towards like the left edge of the green. Yeah, I was going to say just over that bunker on the left and stay away from over there on the right. It’s very Augusta vibes this one. This is super super August sharp. Are we good? This is my guy right here. He’s cheering for me. Let’s try hard. Well, don’t don’t try don’t try and turn my guy against me. He’s We’re going to go caddy. I’m going to sign up for the Egyptian Open. H. All right. Oh, it’s wide in Egypt. God, I hope so. That’ be near a pyramid, though. Ah, it would have been a good angle in. You’re fine. Except I whacked into some trees and ended up here. I am some charming magic mushrooms, though. So if all goes wrong, we can have a jolly old time. Well, I can either go through that gap or under that. So it’s just trying to land it in and around the front of that green. Yep. It’s quite a big slope though, isn’t it? So yeah, big slope heater. That’ll actually be okay chipping uphill, but he’s chipping straight downwind. Gap wedge. You like that or no? What do you want to see? You want like a little like that? Yeah. Okay. Team Scott. Wow. What turn? 107. Yes, sir. Thing is, I’ve got your tickets for the flights. Remember that. Oh, I maybe tried to do a little too much there. That’s not ideal. So, is that the one where you’re still a bit like Yeah. to try to stay down in there? Yeah, obviously like looking at looking at your game, I’m guessing that’s where you normally would always get to as well like with a good strike until like the club just stays kind of down and through like but where like in my mind I tell myself like man I’m going to stay down in there and turn it over but as soon as like that as soon as the club wants to go this way where my I mean that’s kind of what I’ve done my whole life my arm starts to go that and then the elbow comes up drawing it through. Yeah. say we had a chat about kind of yesterday about like certain injuries where you you can’t get around it and like that is like when you when you’re a person that the club goes back I’m kind of outside and then I shallow and then I hip starts to turn and my hand goes this way like I don’t know how to do it another way. Maybe we tried a little too hard for TV there. I don’t know if that was necessarily the best shot, especially with my arm, but we’re in an interesting spot here. So, kind of chipping back into the wind, but anything past the hole is kind of going off the green. So, try to manage the spin here just a touch. Whoa. I told you. Oh, anything going past the hole like and that was like close to really good. Dang. Honestly, the only I’m I’m shortsided. The only advantage I’ve got is I’m hitting into like a little bit of an ups. Yeah. At home at the moment, I can kind of hit shots and they will stop. Yeah. Where they land on the greens, even with chips. But now like seeing where your ball was because I thought the pin was in a different place like you don’t want to be over there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. I would have loved I thought I hit it perfect and I got 15 ft. So he’s he’s acting all cool, but you can tell inside that’s in there like one thing about these greens is so nice like they’re so pure. Mhm. That even with that it’s like a little middle firm. It’s not going anywhere. What you’re trying to do and I understand this is like if you missing the greens on purpose so you can show short game shots. Massive massively appreciate it. Massively respect it. Hey, this is YouTube baby. YouTube 101. Okay. 600 yard par five. We’re just chatting about Scott. Was it 2013 then 2014 Scottsdale Tory. What were you saying? Yeah. I’d never played good on the west coast and then we’ve moved to Arizona and I won two months later and we’re like we figured it out. Yeah. What I took from that is that I need to move to Arizona and then maybe I too could win at Dbury for the Manchester Open. Looks good. Pretty good. A little bit of cut on this one. Swing ball there. I like it. That’s mine. Pounded that one. Yeah, that was You know what? You know what, Kieran? That was a good shot. Thank you. Whose team are you on, man? Ah, lovely shot, mate. Yeah, very good. Thanks. I was kind of watching the shot, but I was distracted by Scott’s calves there as they were flexing on that slope. That was That was I’ll take any opportunity to distract cuz I can if that’s what we need. Maybe he’s a campfire. I’m uh I must admit I was pretty I was pretty distracted for a moment there. Kind of forgot where I was. Just going to go straight at it up in that green side bunker. Be okay. Just left of the green. Yeah, that’s okay. Just up on the left hand down side. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. Okay, that’s great. Yeah. All right. Is that okay with you? Yeah, that’s great. Is that okay with you? Are you sure? It’s okay. That’s okay. We’re here kind of just We’re kind of scared of you at the moment, Ken. Hey. Oh. Oh. Oh, nice bell buddies. We’re bell buddies. Okay. Kind of chase it in there. Is that the shot you’re seeing? Okay. Must be really easy caddy for Scott. He just tells you exactly what he’s going to do. Said, “Is that good?” Yeah. Yeah, that’s great. Yeah. He hasn’t said no yet. Look great. Ah, didn’t quite hit it hard enough. Just a bit short. Good line. Huge that was it. Wow. Yeah, that one didn’t feel great. But again, like that’s what I know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You never been just like a a collector of it. It’s more of a No, I want a I want the ground to know I came for it. Want the green keeper to word. He’s living that way left to right once it gets on the green. I think it’s going to be pretty quick here. Just going to land it a third of the way onto the green. Hope they just let it release out. Good shot. Cheers. Thank you. You’re nice. Well, oh, he’s g he’s giving me, man. He’s he’s he’s way way too nice. I’ll come back and bite you here. Got a two and a half will be like, “Yeah, I’m going to see that, buddy.” Little pressure now. More pars. All pars. I should have said to Scott like like the miss on the left hand side of the screen just opens it up slightly uphill slightly uphill chip. Yeah, that was definitely the way to be standing on a down slope in the rough slicing a 3-wood. Yeah. Yeah. Do really have the option to get the ball quite over there. Yeah. You know, you shouldn’t you shouldn’t limit yourself like that. You should Okay. Hit the fairway. [Music] Thanks for getting the drone up, Kieran. I’m not sure how much excitement you’re going to be seeing on this one. So, 18 down. I’m going to go go eight iron. It doesn’t look like that bunker is the place to miss. No. Ride the pin. Very nice. Oh, beauty spent. Stop. Stop. It’s not right there. Yeah. Stuck it well. A bit clean. You know, I’m I like to think of myself as you a little bit like Tai. You tend to strike it best when I don’t take divots. So, go there. That I had a way with Scott. I was like, if you can try and show us as many short game shots as possible, that would be lovely. And he’s just obliged. Just a gentleman. An actual gentleman. Everyone from Tennessee is quite nice, aren’t they? That’s what I’ve heard. We tend to be I was definitely raised a certain way by my parents. And you know, try not to be judgmental. And I mean, in what we do for a living, you meet so many different people. Yeah. Yeah. It’s just sort of a, you know, try to meet people where they’re at. Especially in this world, like this is where I’m most comfortable. And for the most part, this is where people are the most uncomfortable. So, just trying to be hospitable and make sure people have a good time. I actually thought I hit that hard enough to kind of hit it in the middle of the green. I just took a little too much off of it. This will be very I’m going be honest, I have not really practice this shot. That was going to have to be very fine line right on that. That was just a chunk the crap out of it. No. Oh, shot, mate. That would have been an alltime that one, mate. What? That would have been an all time par that one. Yeah, that is not where there’s not really a good way to play that. No, that was probably the wrong club to try to hit that. But that would have been cool to see like to pull it off. But like a tournament play, that’s like a sand wedge and bounce it and like hit it back here where my you know 10 12 feet behind it and try to make it. Yeah. But I don’t know. Jeez. There’s your wind got blown backwards a bit though. This is big for the team. I’ll gear that one. Yeah, that was a gross hole. Yeah, I think pacewise it’s almost like just dangling on that left edge. Yeah, just putting on these greens is a lot of a lot of fun. [Music] Got a big lead, Kieran. It’s not a great hole. Don’t worry. I can I can make them evaporate very quickly. Yeah, you got a lot We got a lot of obstacles out there on this hole. A river running down the left. Come just a little left. All right. Good shot. Oh, that was a that was like a perfect miss strike. Just slightly out the toe. Little bit low spin. Nice straw. Jeez. You can’t really mess with anything over there on the left. No, it’s like a massive kick. Where’d it go? Kind of like straight on and right, but Yeah. Not not the not the hole to miss left though, I would say. Sevenwood. Yeah, this is OG right here, man. SC wide open. Scoot it back. Get across it. [Laughter] Stop it. Oh. Oh, Scott, that was that was naughty. We’re back maybe for one hole. This is uh that was pretty special. Seen it a lot more now until this is probably eight or nine years old. This is one of the first ones. They don’t make this anymore. And it was the first run they had where they it’s not adjustable, so they can bend it. So that’s it’s kind of upright and shut and add just a little bit of loft. 271. Let’s try and bash this up there. Is that water all the way to the right? Yes. Yes. See, it cuts down a little bit when you get close. There we go. Oh my god. Ah, wow. That wind. That would be a very That would be a very interesting place. Oh, that’s going to be fun. Oh, what do I do? What do I do? Yeah, we’re going to That’d be a fun shot to hit. Mess around with that a little bit. All right. 88. Try to do a little better than that last wedge. Try to stay on top of this one a little bit better. Little mud that’s going straight down that hill there somehow. Bye bye. Gosh are fun. Wow. Yeah. Slight miss and it’s just absolutely cooked. It doesn’t give me a lot of hope. Yeah. Anything can happen here. Phil Mickelson here. A Phil Mickelson. If I had any of Phil Mickelson’s skill and ability maybe truly for score, like playing our own like when we caddy when I caddyy for him in the Egyptian Open, we are going to dump it in the bunker and try to get it in the UPS slope and get up and down. But for the TV, we’re going for it. But you have to match up big time here. Like your shoulders have to match the slope. Yeah. And you have to swing with it. He has to stay big. He’s doing a great job there. And a lot of loft and a quick prayer. There we go. Best shot of my life. That was tough. Just too steep. Too steep. Went right underneath it. Okay. Go in the bunker, please. God’s sake. Yeah, I I should have just hit it in there at the Egyptian open. We’re dumping it in the bunker. But for the just sort of like mine on the last, we’re going for it. People want to see it. I don’t think anyone wanted to see that. Like what you’ve just seen there is me throw up on myself. We’re not done. We we still we we A lot could still happen here. It’s literally don’t get any easier. Now he’s on a down slope in a bunker and he can’t land it on the green. See, that’s where we would have hit it the first time. Up. Bonka. Yeah. I believe in you and that’s down where my ball is. So I don’t know why I just didn’t do that to begin with and just like get it over with. Sociable like considering how close I was to the pin after a second shot. I mean, that’s kind of what we saw when we played the tournament here. You see so many inviting like little shelves and pockets to hit the ball close. You see kind of the edge, but man, if you’re off like I mean, he got unfortunate cuz his ball stayed up on the slope, but Brian’s gone. Take his shoe off to count. [Laughter] You can leave it in. [Music] Yeah. Nice. Happy for you. One, two, three, four, five. This is for eight. Six, seven, eight. It’s for a night. Oh, thank you then. [Music] That’s good. Let’s Let’s get this That’s good. Yeah, we’re done. There’s nothing about this, which is good, Scott. All right. Can we We need to move to the next Let’s try again on the next hole. That’s the first time I’ve had a 10 in quite some time. Four over. Cool. [Music] Short short hole. We’re going to be able to get it up around the green and, you know, hopefully we can do a little better around the greens than we did the last two holes collectively. Yeah, sure. I got that. All right. Chipping up in there. Okay. So, now the match is currently four over versus two over. How would we collectively describe that hole? A YouTube could have been. Yeah, it’s only an eight hole matches. Okay. Yeah, we will cut that one. It’s amazing. Like the first drive after a 10 is usually pretty good. Nice. Yeah, that was a that was a lot of controlled aggression in that one surprisingly. But the idea to play it at the highest level and like what that takes I think is often well and everyone’s like, “Oh, it’s just golf.” It’s like no. Like they don’t know. They see Thursday through Sunday. They don’t see off off weeks, off season, everything that kind of goes into it. And and because we we do a job that people think about at their job. Yeah. And I think that’s the misconception is like, how is that hard? Yeah. Yeah. So, all right. We got a little clipper here. Little pitch. Go on then. Go on then. Yeah. I love the shot. That was better. Not getting much run today. Felt like the club head speed post 10 was very, very high. Love to see the numbers. In America, we would say he put both cheeks into that. Check this in and move on from there. Oh, it’s up the LP. All right. Good birdie. up the day. Hey, he’s golfing it. That’s why we play. Yeah. Well done, mate. Lovely. Look at us being all professional. That putter, by the way, that’s a Wow. There you go. You always tell a to only when it’s been welded on like that. So, I I used a 2 six. You know, Scotty and Paul and kind of everyone in the tour department been awesome my entire career, but you know, playing in college and everything’s like, man, if I could go to the studio and everyone kind of remembers their first time going in and you see like all the stuff that kind of goes into making it what it is. One of the guys sort of gave me an idea and I have a one made for every year I’ve been on tour and it has a stamp and and none of them have ever touched grass. [Music] [Applause] [Music] See if you land. Cameron made a birdie. Hold on. Hold on. Be okay over there. Maybe bunker. It should be kind of hopefully past it from here. I don’t know. Some of the TE’s we’re playing. We always the terminal is totally different and it was overseated and grandstands everywhere. So some of these holes I don’t really remember. So he you hover every shot. Uh yeah. Yeah. Always have. I when I get nervous, I’ll low tea hover because it makes me cuz I’ve always been a guy that sort of like this. Yeah. Sort of like rock off, side bend, and then throw. Especially with my driver. So coming back from injury, I’ve really worked hard on getting used to like hovering all the time with my driver and my delivery has been dramatically different of being able to actually get the club back behind me. And I always find like when it hovered like just it freeze up like certainly the to make the club head go back cuz I was always a guy that sort of like this and then I would shallow and when you can hit the ground you can make up for a lot of stuff you do on the way back. when the ball’s in the air and you can’t put any compression on it with the turf sort of like so spent a lot of time with the fans sit. Man, that was a knuckle. Okay, yeah, it’s okay. Then that ball felt like it was gonna go in that building back there. Just straight knuckle ball. Little bit of a hidden hope here. So I can’t go anywhere like towards the pinks of these trees. Just got to try and pitch it in and around the base of that kind of pine tree just to the left of it uh near the green and then hopefully let it trundle down. [Laughter] Couldn’t have couldn’t have caught it anymore. How we doing over here? How far we got, mate? [Laughter] Run away from you. It’s a bit short. You know what? I think that was actually really close to being really good. I’ve got a feeling it might not have quite pitched on the green cuz I downwind out of that lie that should have released a touch. Yeah. As soon as you left last night, we’re on the on the couch. She was like, “You know, he gave me a ball at the open once.” As he was like wisfully staring into the distance. What happened back there? I heard some I heard some lumber. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. Middle stump. Middle stump on the tree. Okay. Yeah. He lost. Quick, but not Well, you know what? She was at a million miles away. I’m gonna leave it in. This thing’s coming in from the east. Yeah. It You need this. Hit it harder. Actually, hit the ball harder. [Music] Oh wow. Cellophone hole. Yeah. Take care of that one. Wow. That broke a lot. That this is not very impressive golf. We often find this. I mean you of you know this like in the heat of competition at these big events. Uh, you know, when the when the pressure is really on [Music] or just hit it in the clubhouse, right, it’ll be okay. There’s a couple of bunkers there, but Oh, what scores on the doors here? Like five over two over, six over, two, something like that. Yeah, it’s going to take an interesting last hole. Anyway, I just felt like if I kept it out of the ocean, I’m going to be okay. He did what I did. Be a fun shot. Okay, I think bounced, but I don’t know if he bounced into the bunker or not, but it was a good strike. You know, I can I can be proud of that T-shot. Picked going. I think that’s all my hopes gone. I was I was hoping for an uncharacteristic thin into the Atlantic there. But okay, so I need to hole out and I need a forput, I think, from uh that h it happens. Hey, hey, listen, it happens. Listen, I I did think we’d be seeing a 10 today. You know what I mean? These crazy things do happen. What’s actually impressive is I’m uh I had a 10. I’m five or six over, whatever I am, and I’ve uh I’ve not lost the ball. That’s actually quite a good shot. I was expecting a lot more uh a lot more spin. Yeah. All right. Come on. So, close with the birdie. You know who Zoro is. Like when the bull fighter and he’s going to just like I think that’s what’s about to happen here. He’s the bull. Yeah. Yeah. Do it. Oh wow. I think fans would be in a much better spot to watch this video blindfolded and maybe with ear muffs. The golf was less than stellar. Yeah, that’s another whack. That’s good. You know when you just think you got the pace and it goes 5 ft by. Yeah. Thank you. We We’ll do We’ll play better next time. You know what? I don’t think I want. So guys, just want to say a massive thank you for watching. Big shout out to Johnny for getting us out here to Eagle Point. What an amazing venue and to Scott for being a incredible partner for this video and congratulations on the biggest win of his career. If you haven’t subscribed to the channel already, make sure you do that. Hit the like button and stay tuned because we’re going to go out and we’re going to play an 18hole course vlog around this incredible venue. All right, guys. See you next time.

  9. I'd love to see the best 18 holes Peter Finch has ever done. A 70-72 par video. Par 3s 4s and 5s. Keeping acore. Any course any video. Basically an 18 compilation of your best holes. Maybe with some Mr. Finch narration.

  10. Another great video, well done Pete and the crew! Your team have done some miles this year.
