It’s the first Tiger Woods-designed course to host a PGA TOUR event, as a collection of the best golfers in the world return for the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas. This is the time of year when there will be plenty of eyes on both the top of the leaderboard and the FedExCup standings, being the third-to-last event in the FedExCup Fall. U.S Open champion J.J. Spaun and two-time 2025 TOUR winner Ben Griffin are set to tee it up at the World Wide Technology Championship. Spaun has never missed the cut at this championship and finished T30 last year, while Griffin has had back-to-back top 25s. Joining them is Michael Brennan, who is looking for his magical 2025 to continue. Brennan parlayed a sponsor invite at the Bank of Utah Championship into a win – accepting PGA TOUR membership in the process and bypassing the Korn Ferry Tour entirely.

Andrew Putnham has played the par 316th even par so far this week. Oh, and Putnham the one hopping in. And that was just a moment ago. [Applause] I want to see what this does. Does it did it one hop and go up the stick a little bit and drop in? What a shot. One hop at the kiss for the ace. Wow. Nick Dunlap. Same hole back in the fairway. His approach shot. Impressive start to his round given the fact that he made double on seven yesterday finishing. He comes out on this front nine firing again. But no one going lower as Dunlap second highest ranked player in the field this week. Garrick Higo though in the midst of an absolutely masterful round. That right there to get him to eight under par. Trevor Conrove the green at this par four 10th. This is his look for Eagle and it just didn’t quite get there but as easy a birdie as you’ll see. And Trevor has gotten himself into the mix here in Mexico. He is in a current four-way tie for second. This is his fourth at the par five 15th. Oh. Oh, what a bonus that is. Be a little bit quick coming out of the fringe here. Slight downs slope once it gets on the green. Carson Young, you bet. I’ve been a big fan of this young man’s game since his rookie year back in 2023 of his career. The co-leader Higo at 13 just staring right down at this front right hole location. Great chance to get aggressive. Winds up in a good spot. Not much in this putt from this direction. Really flat around this hole. There you go. Filling it up. First player to 20 in the field. Yeah, absolutely muller this to get it on. Oh, especially he’s hitting the cut. Come around. Oh, this is just tremendous. Good as you can do there. Eagle puck coming. Well done. Wow. [Music] [Applause] Well done. That ocean breeze to pick up. Good job. Good job. Griffin in flight. He likes it. That was a nice club twirl. Wow. Throwing a dart in there. Victor Perez just off the 12th putt through the fringe. Has this for birdie just a moment ago. Look what he found. Victor Perez, the 17 under. Another one of those players looking to finish strong this season to crack the top 100. A lot of the European guys who graduate from the DP World Tour, they have some trouble getting comfortable on lifestyle wise if they want to be back home or spend more time in the US. Is Chad Ramy, another birdie, kicking it into gear. Two in his last three holes. Yeah, well done. Good stroke. Oh, that was a cool saw off finish. And what a shot. Wow. Didn’t see that coming. That was spectacular with that lob wedge option and he made that look very pedestrian. It wasn’t well executed. The leader has the speed, fights the hole. Mattie Schmid a birdie that was going 67 ft by if that didn’t go in. Hig go inside three feet to get to 21 under. Was any of those doubles eagles when you played with Graham? Uh no unfortunately. Unfortunately not. Sammy at 163. This is on an aggressive line. And it pays off. Going along nicely in this third round. Almost two hole in ones. Whailing for birdie. So he’s 16 at 16. as that shaft going up his right forearm. Very unique position and has worked for quite some time hanging by a thread inside that top 100. Pin front left. Most players just trying to bail it out just a little bit down to the right hand side. He’s having nothing of it. Goes right after that flag stick. It was just too close. Wow. Of course, he misses all the short ones. Wow. Swing. [Applause] [Music] This is Tom getting up and down from 300 yds. Well done. Post 13. Round of 70. Two under par for Tom Hogi. Go. as this just a moment ago. Mason Anderson. Oh, nearly had a second one. That’s a golf shot happened right there on 16. Ben Griffin then had a little hiccup there. Middle part of his round on the 10th hole having to take an unplayable and bounce back really nicely on the back nine. Ben Griffin at 19 under just two back of Higo. Can he keep the streak going on 17? Likes to draw the ball as well. So it’s a comfortable pin. He said he’s a good ball striker. 17 for 17 in this third round and one of the best drivers on the PGA Tour. Scoot to the 17th. Cones in. [Applause] 14 yds. Heck of a golf shot. Gets up there. He’s kind of setting a standard is Higo the way he’s played today. Definitely a good golf course to be a chaser. Career best on the PGA Tour for Garrick Higgo. 11 under 61. Ties the low round of the week. Higgo at 22 under with 54 holes in the books. Set this way up in the air. Looks like it’s flying a little deep. Okay. Yeah, good shot. Well played. proper side of the hole. Try and make it five players at or within two of the lead. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Hear those footsteps. Ben Griffin already has won twice this year. Looking for number three as Saturday 66. Thanks for watching the PGA Tour. To watch more, click here. To subscribe, click here.

  1. Ben Griffin took his scotty out of the bag for this event, he's gamed the same putter for his entire pro career. Interesting to see him with a mallet now too

  2. Garrick Higgo shoots 61 and he’s hardly seen in these so called highlights!
Pathetic coverage of the 3rd round!
