Thorbjørn Olesen calls it a “really solid round” with plenty of control and key putts, even after a sting on 17. He explains why conditions demanded aggression, how he’s managing energy after a long travel week, and what he’s learning from rare PGA TOUR contention heading into Sunday.

All right, Thor, in contention again on on on the PJ tour going into the final round, if you could just summarize uh how the day went out there today. Yeah, I mean obviously a little bit sour feeling with that uh happening on 17. I thought I hit a decent shot pulled at maybe a couple of yards left and uh yeah, I got punished for it, but you know, all in all, it was it was a great round of golf. I thought I was in in good control out there. um hold some good putts there to finish off the front line and um yeah, I felt like it was a really solid round. Do you feel like the conditions were really ripe for for getting a low number? Did it feel like at any point that you knew you’re going to have to put a low one out there to kind of stay in the mix? Yeah, definitely. I think after nine holes, you could see that people were getting off to a good start and uh there was a lot of low scores out there. So, I was trying to to to keep being aggressive out there and and try to make uh make more birdies. Um but yeah, still still in a good position for tomorrow. How’s the energy right now? You’ve been flying all over the place every week. You flew here from from Dubai. How how’s how’s the energy been keeping up? Yeah, I felt great the last three days to be honest. Uh Wednesday was the first three days there. Monday to Wednesday was tough. Um but yeah, since Thursday morning, I felt uh felt really good. So, uh, energy feels high high and, uh, you know, just going to do a little bit of recovery work this afternoon and hopefully be ready tomorrow. How excited are you for that that challenge again in a in contention on the PJ tour final round? Yeah, I mean, I haven’t been in that position over here that much, you know, only a couple of times, I think. So, you know, still trying to learn uh learn from that. And um yeah, I’m going to go out there and and and try my best tomorrow. And it might not happen tomorrow, but hopefully it’ll happen uh sometime
