Welcome back to the channel guys. This year I have reviewed a lot of Chinese shoes from various brands. Many has been great but quite a bit has been jumped too. In this video I will share my top 10 favorites in various categories. Max cushioned extra support versatile speed trainers and racers. To understand my choices I think it’s important to know the kind of runner that I am. I am 53 years old 1.74 m tall and my weight fluctuates between 80 to 82 kg. I typically run five times a week, averaging 60 to 80 kilometers every week. My easy pace, depending on the shoes that I’m wearing, varies between 5 minutes 45 seconds to 6 minutes 30 seconds per kilometer. My tempo pace is usually between 5 minutes 20 to 5 minutes 35 seconds per kilometer. My fastest pace for short runs like 5k runs is around 4 minutes 30 seconds per kilometer. Although earlier this year, I did a 38 minutes 4 km run in an actual race. But since then, I’ve not been able to replicate that. I do need a little bit of extra support, especially on my left foot. Because of late, I noticed that it’s kind of beginning to over pronate. As a non-competitive athlete, I prioritize comfort and stability over speed. So, that’s me running in a nutshell. With that out of the way, let’s get down to business. In 2025 alone, I have tested over 50 pairs of Chinese shoes from various brands. And here are my favorites in different categories. Let’s start with the easy and LSD shoes. You know those max cushion shoes you want to lace up when you just want to go out there and run and be comfortable. You can go any easy distance in them and come back with your legs feeling fresh or after your legs has been beat up in hard training. Those shoes you want to lace up the next day and let your legs recover. The winner in this category is the Chad Danling handmarks. This weighs 324 g so is not a lightweight shoe. However, it has a ton of cushion and amazing response that makes easy running fun. After 24 km runs, my legs feel fresh. Again, this shoe is not just an easy shoe. The response is quite impressive and you can actually pick up the pace quite a bit. My number two in this category is the 361° sport blaze 5. Compared to the Linghan Max, this one rides f. So, if you love softness, this may not be it for you. However, because the stack is so massive, it is still quite comfortable. The response is also not that great unlike the Linghan Max. So, this one is totally just an easy shoe. However, where this stands out is in stability and that’s why I love it. It is so wide with significant medial support. So they very well modulate pronation. I think this is the most stable neutral shoe I have tried yet. They keep the feet nice and relaxed on the run. I’ve done so many half marathon runs in this and each time I come back, my legs feel very good. The pace may not be great, but the comfort and the protection they give to the feet is quite impressive. Now let’s head to the versatile category. Those shoes that you should get if you have money for only one pair of shoes for all your runs. These shoes can handle anything from easy runs to speed training. And my winner here is the Kiadan TG 1.0. This shoe is lightweight, soft, and very responsive. You can totally do easy run in this and also go top speed. Their stability is not great. However, that’s the trade-off you have to make for all the softness and response. My runner up in this category is the Lening Red 8 Pro. This one can also handle anything that you throw at it. However, it comes second for me behind the TG 1.0 because the TG is softer and handles easier paces better. Moving on to the speed trainers. You know those carbon plated shoes that you are built for slightly more comfort and more resilient for speed training over many miles. And my winner here is the Chiadant TG Blade. This shoe is not super light. However, the response is remarkable. It is very comfortable, decently stable, and very responsive. Some people can even do a full marathon in this. And an additional benefit is that it’s got a ton of soft cushion and is very responsive. So, this shoe can totally handle easy paces unlike most speed trainers. My second shoe here is the 361° Flame 4.0. This shoe has been one of my favorite shoes for quite a bit. You know, I’ve also done my 100 mile review of this. I put in over 250 km in this, but you can see the shoe is still quite intact. This one is super light, stable, comfortable, and fast. But I feel like with what is available in the market, it didn’t quite meet up to race day standard. So, that’s why I put this down as a speed trainer. Now for those who need extra support especially with pronation. My top pick here is the 361° F smarts. Neutral runners find stability issues unappealing for many reasons. Number one is that compared to neutral shoes many stability shoes are heavy and not responsive. Compared the Nimbus 25 and the Jay not 30. Another reason is that many of them have media post that feels like a lump under the arch of the feet and can be quite uncomfortable like in the Nike structure 26. However, in the Fias Max the technology is different and is brilliant. This one has no media post. It does not slant your feet outwards. It doesn’t have too much extra foam on the media side. So, neutral runners can fit nicely into this one. If you check the heel of this shoe, you will see that there are two foams. The white part and the dark part. This part is nice soft and responsive foam. Whereas this one is a femoroam. And then if you look at what they did here, look at the thickness of the foam here on the inside and look at the thickness of the femoroam on the outside. So, you have much more of the soft foam on the outside and more of the femoroam on the inside. pressure always follows the direction of least resistance. So when you land on the heel instead of turning medially, there’s a higher likelihood of this turning outwards. So that’s the technology they use here to modulate that pronation. For those who need light pronation control, this one works very nice. But if you have very serious stability issues, I don’t know if this will be enough. This shoe is soft, is bouncy, and is not too heavy. This is the most fun stability shoe that I have tested yet. And now let’s move on to the racers. The competition standard shoes, full marathons, half marathons. My number one and two picks in this category are the Chiadam plate one and the played 1.5. These two shoes are almost exactly the same when it comes to cushion and response. They are identical. The only difference in these shoes is in the upper plus the 1.5 is slightly wider and they claim that it has a little more stability than the played one. This is my top choice, the played one. And if you look at this shoe, you can see that this shoe has seen better days. You know, I have done three full marathons in this shoe. But if you look at it, the shoe is still good. It’s still bouncy, and the outsole is still pretty much intact. The reason why I chose this over the 1.5 is because this one is sleeker. I feel that this one has less interaction with the wind, you know, less friction, so it probably gave me a slightly better pace than the 1.5. But my second pick in this category is the Plate 1.5. An amazing soft, bouncy shoe to run in. I did buy the Play 2.0, but it didn’t work for me. You know, not every shoe works for everybody. I know some people gave it a very nice review. But for me, I found it firm and it also hurt my feet under the arch on the media side here. I did a half marathon in it. It didn’t soften in the end. I had to drop that shoe. So, I’m sticking with my Blade One and the Blade 1.5. My third shoe in this category is the Beimi Carbon 3. An awesome shoe. This one is the lightest racer that I have tested yet. You know, it weighs just 200 g in my size US size 11. This is 36 g lighter than the plates, 12 g lighter than the Vapor Fly 3. and it is also very very responsive. If I’m going for a half marathon, this will be my top choice because they are light and they are fast. However, over the full marathon, I choose the plates because marathon is a long distance. So, the better cushion of the plates is what I appreciate. Like I said earlier, I prioritize comfort over speed. For lightweight guys, younger guys, and those who prefer speed, this might be their top choice in this category. And that wraps it up, guys. The links to all the shoes will be in the description. Very nice reviews keep it up!!!!
I also use Plaid for my races as well! It really feels great! I also share the same sentiments with Fierce Max, very fun and soft stability shoe! I'm excited for your BMAI review.
I own Xtep 2000km 3.0 and I think is a great shoe for easy days ad even tempo trains. I watched your video about them. Do you still think the same?
Thanks for the review Doc!
I appreciate your information, muchas gracias ! 🫶🏽
