Two RDER Cup rules that you didn’t know about. Rule one, if the match is tied at the end, the team currently holding the cup keeps it. That’s right, no sudden death playoff. You got to win outright. Rule two, the envelope rule. Before singles matches, each captain secretly writes down one player’s name and puts it in an envelope. If someone on the other team can’t play, injury, illness, whatever, that hidden name becomes the automatic matchup.
