Well guys, I didn’t think it’d get any worse and the US took their shovels and dug even deeper yesterday. So, let’s see if I can recap it in three minutes. Um, credit to Europe, first of all, absolute dominant performance. I don’t think the US would have beaten them, even if they had all the correct pairings and Keegan wasn’t an idiot. Um, but it’s just much easier to swallow a loss when you do all the right things and it just doesn’t happen out there versus you do all the wrong things and you still get beat. That’s just a double whammy. I would say the biggest winner outside of team Europe this week is probably Zach Johnson. Um, people are not going to remember and meme him to death after his performance as a captain in Rome. Keegan has taken that torch and will be remembered for years as the worst captain ever in US history. Um the PJ of America uh announced on the first te who started an FU Rory chant. Uh that’s kind of crazy behavior. I mean imagine going to an NBA game and watching the PA announcer there start like an FU LeBron chant for the entire stadium including like women and children. Um that’s crazy behavior. So that person was relieved of their duties. Uh just a cherry on top of the cringe behavior that was seen at the first tea. There was no passion. People just didn’t care. They couldn’t get people to chant. It was embarrassing. Um, let’s see. Keegan, again, we talked about Keegan sending out Morawa and English, just the worst pairing you could do twice to get obliterated. Bryson and Sheffller getting paired together, which is only a move you would do if you have a big lead and you’re trying to guarantee a point to protect the lead. Um, that was really dumb. uh making the course a putting contest which Europe has been dominating and the US’s strength is uh t to green and we’ve completely neutralize that strength. US is literally has like control over how the course is set up. So that’s really dumb. Keegan also said on the PJ tour we play faster greens than than they do when talking about the Europeans putting. Dude, this isn’t 1971. Like literally all the Europeans play on the PJ tour except for like Raw Manhattan. That’s not an excuse. Like I I that at that point I realized maybe Keegan might be a dumb. Like I I like I I cannot believe it’s a real quote. Um leaving Griffin out uh all day Saturday when he literally just came in second at the Pro Core and he’s if he’s not your best putter, he’s statistically your second best putter uh on the whole team on at of course as a putting contest. So that was a good decision. The Heckle and Rory got a little aggressive. Uh and then sending off Henley off the odds. Data Golf just said that the Henley Sheffler pairing in four balls, but sending Henley off in the wrong hole is the third possible the third worst possible group you could make. So yeah, Keegan just made zero adjustments even though he was getting his ass beat. Uh I only watched a few of the holes, but US just again they need to scrap this. They they need some this needs to be a warning sign to all of them that this isn’t working.
