Avoid This Common Backswing Mistake #golfswing #golftips

If you take the club too far inside on the way back, you’re setting yourself up for a chain of compensations later in the swing. This drill helps you start the backswing more on plane — syncing your arms and body together for a more repeatable, consistent motion. Getting this move right early makes it easier to deliver the club square and on path through impact.

  1. Ok but for people like me who lifts their hands way up beside my head (imagine instead of hands being on a one plane straight diagonal line from set up to behind head, halfway up the line curls with hands going up, and also turning the shaft across the line, especially bad with driver and I lose so much speed with this) the only fix I've found was rehearsing the first thing he does hear, really exaggerating it, the shaft actually points down.

That's the only way I can then make a one plane takeaway and backswing, and it's working really well. If I saw this video months ago and trusted it, I'd still have a mess of a backswing
